This is the coolest thing I’ve seen for a long time.
My mate Mary @maylizgood whom I met in Peru several years ago, creates magical mosaic art.
Absolutely blown away by some of her pieces today. It’s been do inspirational.

I’m away all week with my own offerings and it’s been great to drop in for a catch up.
Lots of updates incoming soon but I may be quiet this week.
Lots of love everyone ☀️

Finally got round to grouting my eye 👁️✨ It’s been sitting in my “to-finish” pile for far too long!

I started this piece back in October at a workshop called Exploration of Eyes with the lovely Mary Goodwin at the BAMM Annual Forum in Scarborough, so it feels extra good to finally have it completed and up on my studio wall 🙌

Hoping this is the start of a productive week of finishing off all those half-done projects 🤞

Loved experimenting with a new technique and pushing myself to use materials I’m not usually drawn to ….definitely worth it 💫

FAIL WE MAY, SAIL WE MUST 🎧

Have you seen the commission in tribute to the legendary DJ, producer, and cultural pioneer Andrew Weatherall? Created by artist Mary Goodwin @maylizgood once adorned the walls of @sheafstreet where Weatherall himself had played.

Following the closure of Sheaf Street, the mosaic was carefully moved to TESTBED to ensure it remains in an environment shaped by electronic music, creativity, and cultural memory.

His legacy lives on at TESTBED Leeds and continues to leave lasting influence on his work.

📍Where to find them: 110 Hunslet Lane, LS10 1ES

Final Day in Scarborough @modern_mosaic Annual Forum – Sun’s Out ☀️it’s Masterclass Day!

Today was all about creativity and connection as I took part in “An Exploration of Eyes” with the incredibly talented @maylizgood

We began with some warm-up exercises: we each drew a basic outline of an eye, then had five minutes to work on it. After that, the real fun began — we rotated one space to the right and continued working on the next person’s drawing. This continued until we’d made it all the way around the room and back to our own piece. It was fascinating to see how each eye evolved through different hands — they turned out beautifully! 👁️

After the warm-up, we dived into creating our own eye pieces. I went all out with colour and can’t wait to see the final result come together. Such a perfect way to wrap up an amazing time in Scarborough — sunshine, creativity, and collaboration!

Huge thanks to Mary for a fun-filled, soul-soothing class and for sharing your amazing knowledge with such grace! And hats off to everyone at @Modern Mosaics for creating a space that feels more like a vibrant community than just a forum — you made it truly special! … cannot wait for the next one 😃
