WE RISE ✨
•

No matter how low you feel, you will always rise. In the eb and flow of it all, you will adapt. In the smoking chaos, there is light. Grab it, kiss it and dance with it. Be not afraid.

What a time @risefestival was ✨
p.s. I told the sky about you 🌙

Someone recently asked me to describe Burning Man in one sentence and this is what I came up with.
•
“Burning Man is a space of inward and outward exploration with an emphasis on creativity and human experience; fueled by love.”
•
This space is one that pulls you out of routine and drops you fully into the present. No overthinking, just being. Out there I was reminded of how important it is to listen to myself, to trust my intuition, my instincts, and to let things unfold without forcing them. Leading with an open heart, open mind yet taking accountability when I was hard, harsh and unwilling to budge or change my ways. Learning more about myself in the ugly parts than the beautiful ones. The people I met and the moments I lived felt intentional, like they arrived exactly when they were meant to, leaving real impact that will last me a lifetime instead of just memories.

I always say this, but knowing I can only control the controllables; I chose to take responsibility for my choices and the chaos that came with them. I learned that it’s okay to be the “bad guy” in someone else’s story when I know my heart and true intentions. The synchronicities along the way kept reminding me I was on the right path although feeling weary, that feeling quickly went away. I’m deeply grateful for the people I crossed paths with, the experiences that found me, the love I witnessed, and the love I felt deeply. The art, the fire, the passion… that’s what keeps calling me back and I’m always going to answer. 🔥

A few faves from the @outsidemagazine 25-26 Snowboard Test at @kirkwoodmtn

Testing snowboards is a little unhinged. You're riding boards you click with and some you don't, bell to bell, with a bunch of these snowboard fanatics and gear nerds who are pushing their limits for a week. You wake up, eat breakfast, snowboard, eat lunch, snowboard, eat dinner, watch snowboard movies, and repeat. Hopefully there's a shower or two in there.

"Thirty-one riders lent their expertise to our snowboard test this year. Some traveled from as far as Utah’s Wasatch, but the vast majority of riders were local to the Sierra. A few were even Kirkwood employees who joined the fray on their days off. Testers ranged from avalanche instructors and forecasters to park rats and snowboard coaches. A common thread? A deep love for sliding sideways. " -- @Drewzieff

From sunrise to sunset, from quiet moments to nonstop calls, our team stood ready under the desert sky.

Serving Black Rock City isn’t just about emergency services, it’s about community, resilience, and being part of something far bigger than ourselves. Thank you for allowing us to serve the playa we call home!
