POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Celebrating two centuries of Faith, Community and Legacy! When we honor those who came before us, we deepen our understanding of who we are and our responsibility to those who will come after us.

As a Board Director of Historic Eden Cemetery, I am honored to join in celebrating the 200th anniversary of Monumental Baptist Church. We understand that preserving history is about recognizing the lives, sacrifices, contributions, and stories that have shaped our communities and ensure they are not forgotten as we walk into our destiny.

May we continue to preserve our stories, honor our ancestors, strengthen our communities, and create legacies worthy of carrying forward.

Congratulations to Monumental Baptist Church on 200 years of faith, history, and enduring legacy!

We have several questions. None of them will be answered at this time. 😭😂

Apparently Pastor & First Lady have been preparing for tonight’s 200th Anniversary Gala in their own way. 🕺🏾💃🏾

Please govern yourselves accordingly.

See y’all tonight. 😂

Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III preached a powerful message at The Ultimate Connection: One Night Community Revival last week. We are still processing God's dopeness through both our collective work in the streets and our congregational worship in the sanctuary - Hallelujah & DOllelujah! Follow us: @WeAreTaylorMADEPhilly

As a past recipient of @mbc_philly Higher Education Scholarship, attending the Scholarship Brunch is always an annual date for me! It's a privilege to witness the the youth advancing in their academic careers and to give back to a cause that allowed me to attend @famu_1887 and graduate debt free.

Never forget those who contributed to your success & achievements. Thank you God for all you've done for me 🙏🏾.

Congrats to the Class of 2026 and the students who continue to PRESS! 🎓

IF WE DON’T TELL OUR STORIES, WHO WILL?

For generations, Black communities have preserved their history, documented their experiences, and built institutions when others ignored or overlooked their contributions.

In this week’s Ministry Matters, Pastor Mapson reflects on the enduring legacy of the Black Church, the importance of telling our own stories, and the lessons our ancestors left behind.

If Jesus never got up… there would be no Pentecost.

No Comforter.
No peace in grief.
No strength for dark seasons.
No reminder that God is still with us.

This message was a reminder that Pentecost is more than tradition — it’s proof that God still shows up for His people. ❤️‍🔥

“And will make a way out of no way.”
