When we first began sharing our world here, we made a quiet promise: we would never chase numbers, algorithms, or trends. We would only share what was real. What was felt. What came straight from the heart.

Today, looking at this community, we are overwhelmed by the stories that brought us here.

This page was built by hand and heart—by the photographers who captured our light, the filmmakers who honoured our wild spirit, the storytellers, the creators, and the icons of culture, music, cinema, and sport who walked across our threshold.

Together, we’ve witnessed so many unforgettable chapters. We remember our very first engagement on the Observation Deck, our first New Year’s spent celebrating together, and all the quiet, cherished moments in between. We remember the triumphs, the storms, and the strength it took to navigate them along the way.

Through it all, the true heart of this place has always been you.

It is the guests who arrived as travellers and left as family. Those who still wear the beaded bracelet around their wrist—a silent token of a place that never truly leaves you. It is each soul reading this right now, finding a moment of peace, beauty, or inspiration across a screen.

From our very first photoshoot to films that carried our voice to the global stage, sharing this journey has been an absolute privilege.

Before she was Mayi De La Vega, founder of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty and one of the most influential women in luxury real estate, she was a little girl standing beside her mother at the Freedom Tower, waiting in line for food as her family began again.

Born in Cuba, Mayi de la Vega arrived in Miami as a child after her family fled communism in search of freedom and opportunity. Like so many Cuban exile families, they came with very little and had to rebuild from the ground up. Mayi has spoken about accompanying her mother to the Freedom Tower, where newly arrived Cuban families waited in line for food and assistance while beginning the difficult process of starting over in America. Those moments stayed with her. Watching her parents rebuild a life through sacrifice, faith, and perseverance shaped the woman she would become.

After helping build her family business, Intercontinental Metals, Mayi entered real estate and, in 2008, during one of the most uncertain financial moments in history, founded ONE Sotheby’s International Realty with conviction, vision, and a deep belief in Miami’s future.

What started as a bold leap of faith grew into something extraordinary. Today, ONE Sotheby’s spans 30 offices across 11 counties with more than 1,400 agents and brokers, generating nearly $10 billion in annual sales volume and earning recognition as one of the top producing Sotheby’s International Realty affiliates in the world. From Miami to Palm Beach and beyond, the firm has helped elevate Florida’s East Coast into a global destination for luxury living.

But beyond the success is something deeper. A daughter of exile who never forgot where she came from. A story rooted in Cuba, shaped by Miami, and built on resilience, vision, and gratitude.

FIFTY-FIVE PLUS THE GRATITUDE💟

When I was asked to be in @fiftyfivepluslifestylemagazine this month-I was thrilled. What an honor to be on the cover & to be so thoughtfully interviewed for this feature. This free print magazine has be in circulation for almost 40 years in Canada and caters to mature adults (aged 50 and older) in Ontario💫Which tells me that my demographic transcends age🌀

Bold decisions, using colour, working with what you have, staying true to yourself and letting life guide the process is ageless. This message resonates from 5+ to 55+ & I am always so deeply grateful to share my point of view, inspiration and love wherever I can.

These are the faces of the men who believed Cuba would be free again and risked everything to make it possible.

Before exile, Cuba was one of the most prosperous countries in Latin America.

Havana was called the Paris of the Caribbean. Elegant architecture. Vibrant culture. Ambitious. Alive.

Its universities were respected. Families built businesses. A growing middle class was shaping a country full of promise, ambition, and possibility.

People believed tomorrow would be better than today.

Then everything changed.

Families lost their homes.
Their businesses.
Their freedoms.

For many, they lost the country they loved.

Some left carrying only a suitcase. Others left loved ones behind, never to see them again.

But some refused to give up on Cuba.

This is Brigade 2506.

On April 17, 1961, more than 1,300 Cuban men crossed the sea at the Bay of Pigs believing they were days away from helping liberate their homeland.

114 never returned.

More than 1,200 were captured and imprisoned for nearly two years.

What was meant to be a return home became a lifetime of exile.

And still, they never stopped loving Cuba.

For decades, they carried her in memory, in prayer, in music, and in stories told around dinner tables, holding onto the belief that one day Cuba would be free again.

Their sacrifice helped shape the Cuban American story and the Miami we know today.

But this Independence Day feels different.

For the first time in a long time, hope does not feel distant.

It feels closer than ever.

On this Cuban Independence Day, we honor the men who never stopped believing in a free Cuba.

We honor their sacrifice.
We honor their courage.
And we hold onto the dream they carried across the water.

A free Cuba.

Closer than ever.
