A roaring good time celebrating 100 years of history! Sedgefield Country Club’s Centennial Gala was a night to remember, filled with the glitz and glamour of the Roaring Twenties, unforgettable entertainment, and a celebration of the people and traditions that make Sedgefield so special. 🎷🎉

Coaches like this are growing the game, one stroke at a time. 🙌

@tammylohrenpga is running a fantastic @operation_36 program at the @reservegolfclub in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, a @mcconnellgolf property. Just look at what her players have done:

⛳ 113 strokes lost across her academy
⛳ 29 level-ups
⛳ 18 new golfers created
⛳ 4 players at Level 4

Every one of those numbers is a person who showed up, worked hard, and got better.

Tammy brings a résumé most coaches only dream of. As a player, she won the Connecticut Women’s Open and the Women’s Metropolitan PGA Stroke Play Championship, played on the Futures Tour (now the Epson Tour), and is a member of the Longwood University Hall of Fame. As a coach, she has more than 30 years of experience teaching individual and group lessons, a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Carson-Newman University, and was the 2021 Tennessee PGA and 2022 PGA Youth Player Development Award recipient.

Her teaching builds on the foundation of her father, Carl, a PGA Master Professional who taught the golf swing and proper setup for more than 50 years.

But what I love most is her philosophy: keep it simple, help people feel relaxed and comfortable, and believe that anyone who wants to learn this great game should have the chance.

To the players at Levels 3 and 4: keep going. Only 1% of Op36 players around the world ever beat Level 5, and we can’t wait to celebrate the first one from Tammy’s program. Is it going to be you? 👀

Huge thanks to The Reserve Club and McConnell Golf for supporting a program that welcomes new golfers and helps them grow.

If you’re in the Pawleys Island area, I highly recommend joining. 👏

It’s hard. That’s the point. Hard wins change us.

In honor of Sedgefield Country Club's centennial, members, champions, industry leaders, and friends of the club share their congratulations and appreciation for 100 years of cherished traditions and an enduring legacy.

Since its founding in 1926, Sedgefield has played a significant role in both golf and North Carolina history, hosting the state's oldest PGA Tour event, serving as the birthplace of the Atlantic Coast Conference, and welcoming generations of guests through the historic Sedgefield Inn. Above all, it has remained a place where people come together to play, celebrate, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Under McConnell Golf, Sedgefield continues to preserve its history while shaping the future of the game. 🏆

Training isn’t something we DID. It’s something we DO. 🔥

A full day with food & beverage leaders from across @McConnell Golf properties at Providence Country Club asking the tough questions, learning from one another, and putting leadership into practice. That’s an investment that reaches every team member and every member experience.

McConnell Golf does it BIG, and that includes investing in its people. As the organization grows, Passionate Productions, LLC is honored to help strengthen the leadership foundation that supports that growth, equipping leaders for the season ahead and the culture they build every day.

Thank you Beverly Marler, CCM, CCE & Maya Panayotova for choosing to #DoItWithPassion!

The last time I was at @oldnorthstateclub I decided the three hole challenge should be the obvious final three holes. With a double on 17, I had to beat +2.

The whole course ranks in my top 10 favorites to play. The layout is always so much fun, with greens, honestly just freaking perfect. The finishing three holes are some of the best in golf. Thanks again @jmathers11 🍻
