Good morning! Today’s my birthday! My birthday wish this year is that you’ll join me for my first solo show in Miami, at the Marshall L. Davis African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, curated by the illustrious @mccoy_arsimmer. This show will include a public art sculpture of a car, large scale installations and paintings. This rendering was first made during my fellowship at AIRIE. Can’t believe this is 3 years in the making. Details in the flyer above, stay tuned for programming during art week. Thank you Mr. Davis, @ahcacmiami @bayunga.kialeuka.studio , @locustprojects , @oolitearts @warholfoundation and my fellowship at IIT for making this work possible.

I’m presenting a collaborative installation “Ancestral Currents”, w/ @aniafreer.archive at @thearmoryshow in the Platform section, #17, @airie.foundation . Hope to see you all there this week from Sept 24-27th at the Javitz Center !

In Ancestral Currents, the sounds of Jamaica and the Greater Everglades converge through stories of water, ancestral memory, and belonging, revealing landscapes shaped by movement, resilience, and survival. Across the installation, water emerges as both witness and archive—holding histories that transcend geography while connecting communities.

Honored to be working on this installation with Ania Freer (@goatcurrygallery) and showcasing Passages, a film directed by me, featuring performances by @arsimmermccoy and @kunyarowly. Swipe your see some BTS footage from filming Passages. Ania’s films Kaa-Ha-Yut-Le, Cotton Tree, Shanny, and Shango will also be presented in this installation.

Re : AIRIE.Foundation

Passages, directed by Cornelius Tulloch, reimagines the histories of the Saltwater Railroad through performances by Arsimmer McCoy (@mccoy_arsimmer ) and Kunya Rowley (@kunyarowley ); tracing migration, memory, and place.

Presented in celebration of AIRIE.Foundation’s 25th anniversary, the installation is a curated selection of short films by AIRIE alumni. Together, these works invite reflection on water as a living archive; bridging landscapes, diasporas, and generations across the Caribbean and South Florida
