Introducing Feá McCoy ☆ミ

Feá McCoy is a visual artist and photographer from Cork, who recently graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design. Working primarily in still photography, she emphasises analogue mediums in her practice with a particular focus on slide film and the performance of projection.

Feá’s work delves into the relationship between memory, place and grief, which are inherent in family photographs. Navigating the past through archival family material, Feá plays in an act of remembering and reimagining. Through the photographs she takes, she attempts to construct a fantastical past and embark on a detective trail to uncover alternate versions of a real one.

Meet the group ☆ミ

Here’s a few of us on our field trip in Cork City and County last November. On this day, we visited SIRIUS Arts Centre in Cobh, Backwater Artist Group and the National Sculpture Factory.

The Clancy Quay / Superprojects Professional Development Programme gives recent art graduates across the country the opportunity to access knowledge, training and feedback from Ireland’s leading experts in the visual arts.

We will be posting artist spotlights shortly! We’re v excited to share our work and exhibit together 🌟🍎💫
