Our "Art Activism" otherwise known as "Artivism" campaign is aimed at acknowledging and celebrating our students, faculty and alumni for their amazing Productions over the years. These productions are made to inspire social change, give the voiceless a voice and spread awareness of the injustices many people face silently in our societies.

Activism is all about taking action, there is no one way of expressing yourself as an activist, but this how our students, faculty and alumni express themselves in this never-ending battle for a free and peaceful world for all.

As the University of Pretoria faculty of Humanities SOA: Drama Department we will continue celebrating our students and faculty for expressing themselves through their art and getting us one step closer to a peaceful world, one show at time.

Thank you to everyone who has been supported us over the years.

From the team at @rushjhb , THANK YOU to each and every person that came and supported the first instalment of Rush! You came in hot, you came in numbers, you danced, partied, and started an ICONIC new movement in JHB nightlife 🔥 We couldn’t do it without you, and we can’t wait to do it all again. May every event be as wild, free, and memorable as the first one!

There might have been a few issues around the bar, but don’t worry bestie - we clocked it, we heard you, and we’re already working on making Rush even better!

See you on August 8th for @luminarygala x RUSH & August 29th for RUSH: Inferno. We’ve only just started, and we aren’t slowing down. 🤩

If you have any suggestions, feedback, or even complaints, please don’t hesitate to send us a DM. We genuinely want to hear from you. Our goal is to make every Rush better than the last and ensure everyone has the best possible experience, every single time.

🏆🥇 1st PLACE – Bikini Fitness U166 🥇🏆

What a journey.

7 weeks of prep.
Countless hours in the gym.
Meal prep.
Posing practice.
Early mornings.
Late nights.

There were moments I questioned myself, moments I was exhausted, and moments I wondered if it would all be worth it or that im just nuts for doing this

A huge thank you to my coach and friend @tamm_ibffsa for your guidance, support, and belief in me throughout this journey.

To my family, thank you for graciously dealing with the mood swings, the prep brain, and my possessiveness over my food 😅. Your love and patience mean more than you'll ever know.

To Laura, thank you for creating my absolutely stunning bikini and evening gown.

To Chloe, thank you for my gorgeous hair and makeup.

And to Chloe and Damien, my incredible backstage bitches, thank you for making sure my every need (and want!) was taken care of. Having you both there made all the difference.

To my friends who cheered me on every step of the way, thank you for your love, encouragement, and support.

I am one incredibly lucky lady to have such amazing people in my life. ❤️

#KnowYourSocieties | Student Leadership is BACK

Every Friday, we will be shining a spotlight on the dynamic student structures and societies that shape student life at the University of Pretoria Faculty of Law.

From advocacy and academic support to social impact and student engagement, this series is your opportunity to get to know the leaders serving our law student community.

✨ First up: UP Law House, our Faculty House.

UP Law House is the official student leadership structure representing law students within the Faculty. As the Faculty House, it serves as a unifying platform that brings students together across all year groups and programmes.

Law House:
• Represents and advances the interests of law students
• Supports academic development and student wellbeing
• Engages with faculty leadership on student matters
• Organises social, sporting and community outreach initiatives
• Strengthens the culture and identity of UP Law

This week, meet the students who will be serving you during the 2026 academic year, the 2025/26 Law House Executive Committee.

At its core, Law House exists to serve every law student by building community, fostering leadership, and ensuring that student voices are heard.

Join us every Friday as we continue to highlight the structures and societies that make UP Law more than just a faculty.

It’s almost time to welcome the New Year ✨
A sacred moment to shed old skin, sharpen our vision, and align with the goals and dreams calling us forward.
The Year of the Snake taught us how to transform.
Now we dance it into the next chapter — bodies moving, hearts open, united on the floor at @revolution_nye_festival 🐍🔥🎶
