✺ Good memories: It was June. Polina’s birthday @polinaapelsina

@andrevaas surprised us all. Early that morning, he paddled over to our boat in a kayak carrying a carton of milk for his classic pancakes and a watermelon. He arrived before anyone was awake, sat quietly in the cockpit, and waited for us to open our eyes.

By sunset, we were sitting on a volcanic meadow, watching the last light disappear, laughing, making wishes, and hoping all of Polina’s dreams would come true 🎶

We ended up calling that voyage Lounge Week. Such good memories 🥹💌

Studio in artistic collab: @mchte — vision; WRKN — production.

Artist @mchte explores the legacy of Soviet visual culture—reframing familiar domestic forms through memory and modernity. Her work stages a dialogue between past and present, revealing the aesthetic and emotional depth of everyday heritage.

Working Knowledge is a creative studio and production team working across contemporary art, the built environment, and multimedia—from objects to small-scale architecture. In this project, the studio serves as the creative production team bringing Maya’s idea to life through spatial and lighting design, technical production, and fabrication—transforming the concept into a precise physical experience.

“Of Course I Still Love You” — Maya Reznikova × Working Knowledge.

Named after one of SpaceX’s landing platforms, the piece opens a dialogue between memory and the present: a vivid imprint of Soviet space-age design and a contemporary romanticization of today’s chapter of space exploration. A weightless metal shade evokes the softness of lace in a hard material. The pattern is drawn from memory: motifs of the artist’s childhood curtains, pre-revolution Russian lace, and national ornaments — woven into a single metal shell. The lamp casts bright reflections — like streetlight pouring through a lace curtain at a childhood home.

A project composed of archival fragments — vintage furniture and set pieces made on site. No blueprint, only imagination and craft. This evening, dedicated to New Orleans, was created for an art foundation in collaboration with @stillandsparkling.studio, who curated food and drinks. By reviving the archives of the roaring jazz era, we sought not to reconstruct history, but to let guests step into a living memory of the port city of freedom.
