The race is over. But your running goals aren’t. 🏃

Whether you tackled the Baltimore Running Festival this weekend or you’re already eyeing your next race, lingering pain shouldn’t dictate what’s next.

Recovery is more than waiting for the soreness to fade. It’s understanding what’s holding you back and building the capacity to keep doing what you love.

Still dealing with pain after race day❓ Let’s talk about what’s next🤝

If you live in Baltimore and your physical therapy clinic doesn’t look like this...

You might not be getting the results you’re looking for.

Most physical therapy is a closed off room, a resistance band, and a heat pack.

Rehab 2 Perform is built like a gym for a reason:

Getting back to full strength takes real equipment, the right environment, and a plan that treats you like an athlete.

Whether you’re chasing a PR or chasing your kids around, the standard is the same.

We’re opening in Harbor Point, built by Baltimore clinicians for the Baltimore community, and serving Harbor Point, Fells Point, Canton, Federal Hill, and the surrounding city.

Drop “Baltimore” in the comments and we’ll reach out personally to get you set up.

Lower body strength training is an important part of a well-rounded running program.

Running is a repetitive, single-leg activity that requires the lower extremity to repeatedly produce, absorb, and control force.

Strength training gives runners an opportunity to build the capacity to handle those demands while addressing areas that may not be fully trained through running alone.

It can also improve overall force production, control, and single-leg stability, which are all important qualities for running.

You don’t need a complicated program or hours in the gym. A few well-selected exercises can complement your running and help build a more complete training program.

What I love about working at R2P – Owings Mills:

The people we get to work with. The gym we get to work in. The emphasis on continued learning. And the clinicians around me who push themselves and each other to keep getting better.

We get to help athletes, active adults, and people working toward a more active life do things they care about—and we have the space, equipment, and team to support that process.

We’re looking to add a full-time physical therapist to our team in Owings Mills.

If this sounds like the kind of environment you’d enjoy working in, I’d love to connect. And if someone comes to mind who would be a great fit, please share this with them!

Do as we say and not how we do 😜😂.

The best warmup is the one that prepares the body for the task at hand.

So basically do what works for you!

Your hip flexor is tight and your knee is taking the blame 👀 Here’s the fix.

Most people do the hurdler stretch without ever setting the hip angle, so the knee ends up eating stress that should be going into the muscle.

Get to 90/90 at the hip and knee before you lean back, and the difference shows up immediately ✅ Muscle, not joint.

Feeling pain or discomfort with this stretch or during games?

Athletes know how to push. But more effort isn’t always the answer.

Pain shouldn’t dictate how you train, compete, or show up for your team.

Your rehab should go beyond addressing an injury. It should prepare your body for everything your sport asks of it.

That’s performance-based physical therapy. 💪

Know an athlete who needs to hear this? Send it their way.

Let’s normalize different workouts. Fun workouts. Workouts where music leads and makes you smile. Easy miles. Looking weird. Screaming at the top of your lungs.

The majority of my day today was spent in front of a computer. I hadn’t worked out and I was in a MOOD.

In comes this. An easy pace. Not set mile goal. Music cranked up and neighbors giving me weird looks. And IDGAF

I moved. I feel better mentally and physically and I’m more present for my kids. So here’s your reminder to stay weird and movement is medicine ✌🏽

The starting line is calling. 🏃‍♀️🔥

Whether you’re lining up at the Baltimore Running Festival this weekend or chasing your next goal, all those training miles are building toward something.

And there’s more to running performance than pace and mileage.

Understanding your mechanics, strength and movement can reveal opportunities to keep progressing.

Curious what your run could tell you?

Comment RUN and we’ll send you the details on our Running Performance Analysis.

We believe in practicing what we preach. 💪

For our team, competition is about more than a finish line. It’s about challenging ourselves, embracing the process, and understanding firsthand what it takes to prepare, perform, and keep showing up.

That perspective carries into the care we provide every day.

Three straight years. One shared standard.

Rehab 2 Perform ranks No. 28 on Fortune’s 2026 Best Workplaces in Health Care list in the Small & Medium category. 🏆

Behind this recognition is a team that challenges each other to grow, supports one another, and brings that same care to every patient they serve.

To our team, thank you for making R2P a place where people can do meaningful work and keep getting better.

BE > YESTERDAY.
