Keeping the Sylosis vibes going gentlemen!

Why you might ask? Because they’re easily one of my favorite bands in modern metal. Their riffs constantly keep you on your toes, and there’s no better way to sharpen your playing than digging into music that challenges you.

And that’s not even getting into the production side of things. If you haven’t checked out Josh Middleton’s instructional videos on YouTube, you’re seriously missing out. There’s a wealth of knowledge in those videos, and I can’t recommend them enough.

Anyways, rant over! Hope you guys are doing well. Let’s keep the shred going! 🤘

It’s Friday, so you know what that means. Time to play some sick riffs with the homies!

Parkway Drive never disappoints, and this section of Idols and Anchors is an absolute blast to play. Even better getting to lock it in with @vaughnmichaelaudio the dude is seriously dialed in and always a pleasure to work with.

If you’re not following him already, go show him some love!

Whatever you’re up to this weekend, whether you’re playing a show, hitting rehearsal, or just jamming at home, make some noise and enjoy the music. Have a great weekend, guys! 🤘

Keeping the Sylosis vibes going!

Since I’ve got the official tabs for Conclusion of an Age, I figured we might as well make the most of it and dig into as much of this album as possible. There’s no shortage of incredible riffs to choose from.

Another seriously satisfying section to play right here. I’ve been having an absolute blast putting these songs together, and I appreciate you guys following along.

Let’s keep the momentum going. Cheers guys, see you on the next one! 🤘

💀 Divine Destruction Drums 💀

The newly released standalone drum plugin from @mdl.tone - Out of the box mix ready top tier drum tones ready to go! Wrote this track only using the included MIDI Grooves (which there are loads of!) and the Modern Metal preset with zero extra processing. Getting pro sounding drums that just work in a metal mix has never been easier. Check it out 👊🏻

Huge shout out to @joshsylosis for sending this across to try out and congrats on the release!

DIVINE DESTRUCTION

@joshsylosis has just put out his new drum plug-in with @mdl.tone and of course it absolutely rips! Super plug in (pun intended) and play which I love because as much as I enjoy mixing to a certain point, I’m definitely not amazing at it when it comes to drums and can get lost in the weeds of trying to make a snare sound good rather than actually just getting on with what I was trying to do in the first place.
.
That being said though there are still tonnes of presets and mixing options available if you are someone who wants to dive in a little deeper. For this demo I used the Swedish kit to go along with the baby-meshuggah riffs 🇸🇪
.
So if you like what you hear please absolutely go check it out and support Josh. He’s worked very hard on this for a long time and the results show it, you won’t be disappointed!
.
Also a huge personal thank you from me to @espguitars, @tonyrauser and @drewlinskii for hooking me up with the lovely ESP LTD M-400 to shoot this with whilst I was over in the states, a very sick guitar that I was very sad to have to give back before I came home. Honoured to be working with the best in the business 🤝

The ending of “Mercy” by @sylosisofficial is probably one of the heaviest riffs in E standard 🔥
