Madeleine Vionnet is a blueprint for my pattern cutting, I spent a lot of time researching, learning and toiling her patterns, in particular her 1920s bias cut gowns. I developed the patterns further growing on sleeves from the side inserts and back with a trompe-loel hand smocked 'rib', an asymetric 3m train and the V-neck finished with a jumper style self bind.
This was the first style I developed for the collection, and is the truest essence of my direction, translating womenswear into menswear, finding balance and beauty in contrast. 'Bringing down' a 1920s Vionnet couture gown, grounding it with menswear finishes and aesthetics. Most importantly, the development of the style comes from its fabrication, instead of a conventional silk, I opted for a superfine wool sponsored by Fernmoor, Bower Roebuck.

BIG Thank you to Bower Roebuck for sponsoring me with the most beautiful wools for my collection. @bowerroebuckofficial @fernmoortextiles

Thank you to Madeleine who interned with me for the collection and in particular helped with the handsmocking of the sleeves and the making/development of the 73 Charm Belt! ❤️ @mdline____

Fiki in the floral smocked jumper, super fine cashmere worker trousers, leather braided charm belt and gunmetal sandals💛💛💛

This stool has been sat in my Nanny Paver’s house, passed down from her mum and dad, circa 1950s, since then she made a cover for it, it’s brown and also floral. But as a kid, the joy I felt when I peeked under its cover and saw this amazing yellow floral was so exciting. It stuck out like a sore thumb and took you back in time. I would always forget about it then rediscover it again, every time the same joy and surprise.
