🌀 junk drawer vendor spotlight: @meadowkaye_studio

“Meadow is a local multi-media artist who makes work inspired by natural forms and textures in both glass and ceramics. They create glass beads and pendants to make ornate earrings, necklaces, and other wearable items. Their ceramic wares often include rock-like textures and colors on functional wares such as jars, incense holders, vases, and more.“

so excited to have meadow’s creepy and beautiful collection available on march 7th at @yumebk 🦷

for the past ten weeks i’ve been at the torch, learning, experimenting, and making wearable art with glass as a part of the fall 2025 @urbanglass_nyc bead project ❤️‍🔥

i’ve made and broken and remade so much. 🐦‍🔥 my cohort has opened my eyes to glass in ways i never imagined and i crave more time in the studio with them and their incredible energy and creative power.

i’m so excited to show you what we have in store at our trunk show on nov 2 from 12-4pm @urbanglass_nyc

thank you to our teachers, mentors, and the new friends & glassmates who showed me everything i know with patience, kindness, and care 🫶🏽

as @francesajanaldi said when they demo’d something i’d been envisioning but failing to create: “i got to learn for free, so why shouldn’t you!”

the bead project is an incredible and unique opportunity to learn bead making, the oldest known form of glass working, with a cohort of people who are often underrepresented in glass with the vast resources and knowledge of urbanglass - i’m so lucky to have been able to use this time to make things i’ve never seen and imagine things beyond my limits. learn more about the program at the 🔗link my bio🔗 or at urbanglass.org/studio/detail/beadproject 🔥

Don’t miss The Bead Project Trunk Show this weekend, on November 2nd, from 12 - 4PM! 📿

The Bead Project is a unique scholarship program by UrbanGlass that empowers economically disadvantaged women, femmes, and gender non-conforming individuals in NYC to learn glass beadmaking and entrepreneurship.

It’s the perfect opportunity for some early holiday shopping, shop small and support these incredible artists from underrepresented communities!

I’ve had a lot of clients asking me “when are you going to post your wedding pictures?!” wellll today marks one month married so here’s some pictures that I felt captured some of the magic on simply my favorite day ever 🖤
Richie thank you for being my soulmate. I couldn’t image my world without you. You have helped me find more of my true self in these last two years, I didn’t think I could find that side of me ever again. Your love motivates me everyday. I have the sweetest, gentlest, goofiest, cutest, most sincere husband.
Forever & always, let’s be ghosts together forever 👻 🖤

thank you so much @meadowkaye_studio 📸

We had our last clean up this week and it was a busy one! We named our best mop bucket after our most attended clean up student Meagan! She has never missed a clean up for 5 years! Our studio had a very great semester and now we're all nice and clean!
