July 18th Kody and I took a trip to PEI to be the photographers at Strongman Corps Atlantics! There is no better point of view than a photographers... and I got to spend time with my best friend!
I am SO blessed to have a husband that embrasses my passion and even puts in the work himself, he crushed it! ❤️

....UV rays had no chance against my sunscreen. (I didn't see what I looked like until the end of the day.)

Small but mighty! Our Massey Furguson 1528 isn't just a looker 😎, she packs a punch!

No driveway too big and no tractor too small, little Massey does it all!

Long and sappy post alert:

Oct.4th 2025 we got to celebrate Mr. & Mrs Williams! I am so happy for you guys and so proud that my big bro can have that much of a positive light on so many amazing people. Your wedding was perfect. The ceremony was so beautiful, Amanda you were STUNNING and I couldn't see you through my tears and all of your bridesmaids were so beautiful and sweet. Your photographer was 10/10, the food and the drinks were so great...I'm still feeling the wine (as you can probably guess by the looks of my end of the table). Everyone's speeches had me in tears, some from laughter and some just pure sappy happiness.
Thank you and it was an absolute honour to be part of your wedding! Getting ready with the men was the most relaxed thing I've ever done... I think I left my crocs at your house. I can wait to see what forever brings you two and I couldn't be happier for the both of you.🤍🤍

We win some, and we lose some - major takeaway is that next time, I probably should not do a full volunteer day BEFORE i compete (whoops).

We hit some PRs on Bench and Deadlift, though! Depth apparently needs to be worked on!

Easterns here we go!

As always, a big thanks to NBPL for creating the event as well as the organisers, volunteers, lifters, handlers/coaches and support that was heavily needed to help the weekend run smoothly.

Final meet of the year! What a crazy and rewarding year of lifting it has been.

This past meet was very successful!

Squat PR: 157.5kg/~347.5lb, which was a pleasant surprise

Bench: Failed my 3rd Bench (85kg/~187.5lb), but that a shot to the heavens

Deadlift PR: 195kg/~430lb FINALLY

I am very excited about the deadlift PR as it was a failed attempt at PEI Provincals! Coming back strong and getting goals... Some might say a bit too strong 💅

The 180lb on bench is still HAUNTING ME!

I am greetful for the team that has adopted me this season and, as always, my Brother Coach @life_long_strong

As a military mechanic heading to her first nationals, Meagan Perreault-Boutin benefits a lot from her strength on and off the platform.

“Keeping fit is also a crucial part of my job, armoured vehicles have some heavy parts and if I didn’t strength train I would have an incredibly difficult time,” she says.

On the platform, Meagan is also one of the few women in NBPL who can bench press over 200 lbs - a milestone she calls her proudest achievement.

Her best competition numbers are a 160 KG squat, a 95 KG bench press, 150 KG deadlift and 400 KG total.

Meagan, 28, says she’s always loved lifting heavy and came to powerlifting after meeting her husband Kody.

“I got him into lifting then we both motivated each other to the point of wanting to compete.”

Meagan says she derives benefit from powerlifting that is not just physical, but also mental.

“Having a reason to constantly grow and challenge my body,” she says. “Also the community, I struggled with body image issues for years and powerlifting is the most confidence boosting, judgement free community out there.”

In addition to competing in NBPL, and recently becoming a certified referee, Meagan has also been trying to grow the military powerlifting community in Gagetown and has been involved with hosting meets there.

“So far we’ve introduced alot of new lifters into the world and honestly seeing their growth and happiness within the sport is where I find the most joy.”

Meagan will compete in the 84 KG open bench only class on Monday, Sept. 9.
