Beautiful Matthias the musician, executed in the hour of the class, with the addition of one tiny line ; charcoal and pastel on roughly A4 Strathmore mid-gray.
My device is so far gone that it wouldn’t let me hear any music in the Insta-library, so have no idea which bit of Bach you’re hearing (incidentally, why won’t it give you Bach anymore unless you type in Johann Sebastian?)!

The Giants cave meters is 76 meters above the Avon gorge but involves walking down a narrow 61 meter tunnel with steps leading to a viewing platform.
When I was a kid, I would be in the car looking up from the road to the cave but had never been up there.
It was said to have been part of a chapel in 305 AD and, according to folk lore was the home of 2 giants named Goram and Ghyston.

This week I finally went to visit!

Started in the class with the brilliant @luca_indraccolo , and finished straight afterwards; all within 3 hours and alla prima. If only they could all be completed this fast!
Relatively restricted palette (well, Titanium White, true Naples Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Scarlet, Cobalt Violet Hue, Iron Oxide Red and Ultramarine Blue; so maybe not so restricted) on A4 Arches paper. I find it really helps to premix the background colour and wash the whole support in it.
And now to put the finishing touches to a certain Pigeon, before watching Luca all over again and absorbing rather more of his tutorial than when it was live!

Thank you so much to the @acecollectiv crew.

We recently gathered to share food, sing, play music, laugh, have fun and connect.

It was so beautiful to come together and a reminder of how the crew reflect the essence of what Ace Collectiv is:

A place where each of us can express and create a community of unique authentic expression.

Thanks so much to all the crew that have been part of our events over the years. And all those to join in the future.

We love and appreciate you.

🙏💖

The Triyuginarayan Temple is a Hindu pilgrimage site in Uttarakhand, India, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, renowned as the location of the wedding of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is famous for its perpetual sacred fire, the Akhand Dhuni, and the three holy ponds, or kunds, in its courtyard. The temple is a popular spiritual destination, often visited on the way to or from the Kedarnath Temple, and is also a popular wedding destination.
