Pregnancy changes your body. That doesn’t mean you have to just live with pain. Pelvic floor physical therapy can help support you before and after birth, addressing common concerns and helping you feel stronger and more confident in your body. A pelvic floor PT can help with: - Diastasis recti (separated abdominal muscles): by improving core strength, coordination, and pressure management before and after pregnancy. - Incontinence: by addressing leaking with coughing, sneezing, lifting, running, or exercise. - Return to activity: by gradually and safely rebuilding strength and confidence for workouts, running, lifting, and everyday activities. - Pelvic pain: by addressing pain or discomfort during sex, pregnancy, or postpartum with individualized treatment. - Low back pain: by improving core and pelvic control, strength, mobility, and movement strategies to help reduce symptoms. Pelvic floor PT isn’t just about treating problems after birth. It can be part of your preparation for pregnancy, recovery after delivery, and return to the activities you love. 📞 (781) 474-3515 - free 15-minute consultations 🔗 unionsquarept.com - book online today 📧 info@unionsquarept.com

So, what is dry needling? 💉
Dry needling is a modality where we use thin, sterile needles to target specific muscles and areas of soft tissue that may be contributing to pain, tightness, or movement limitations. Dry needling isn’t acupuncture, even though we use the same needles. Dry needling is a form of Western medicine targeting specific areas of tissue that are causing pain.  As physical therapists, we use dry needling as part of an individualized treatment plan—not as a quick fix. It is a tool we combine with hands-on therapy, targeted exercises, and movement training to address the bigger picture. Why might your PT recommend it? • Muscle tightness or trigger points/”knots” • Certain types of persistent pain • Limited mobility • Muscle-related movement restrictions Your body is unique, and your treatment should be too. If pain or tightness is keeping you from the activities you love, let’s find out what’s really causing the problem and create a plan to get you moving again. #DryNeedling #PhysicalTherapy #PhysicalTherapyWorks #MoveBetterFeelBetter #PainRelief
