A whole ecosystem of people has been dreaming, organizing, resourcing, designing—and now building—the Webatuck Valley Farm Collaborative.

Together, we’ve already raised $6 MILLION toward our $15M vision. Seeds are rooted and dreams are taking flight. Now we’re expanding the circle.

On October 6, we’re gathering for MOVE MONEY. GROW WORLDS: a Reparative Capital Learning + Resource Exchange to explore what becomes possible when we move resources differently—and then actually practice it.

And y’all…the people joining us 💚 Jessica, Veronica. Elspeth. Naima are folks I love, trust, learn from, and organize alongside. Between us are decades of experimenting with how we move money, reclaim wealth, share power, heal our relationships to resources, tend land, and build what comes next.

We cannot wait to merge these worlds together. COME THROUGH! There will be many pathways to grow this dream with us.

Come through and harvest with us at our Roots of Abundance Konbit Day on Saturday, September 26th where you’ll have an opportunity to bask in the bounty of our food forest and take home produce from other local farms.

Our Konbit Days are inspired by the Haitian Creole tradition of mutual aid. These gatherings annually bring together over 100 BIPOC, immigrant, and working-class community members annually to plant, harvest, weed, eat and build together in a spirit of collective care and shared labor.

This family-friendly gathering is an opportunity to connect with the land, one another, and the abundance of the season

The day will explore regenerative farming practices, herbal creations, tea tastings, hands–on learning, and an introduction to WILDSEEDs Learning Grove.

Today we gathered to bless WILDSEED’s historic barn before its transformation begins—remembering those who paved the way, releasing what could keep us from our purpose, and reclaiming the vision that brought us here.

We are dreaming into a place where land, food, art, healing, justice, and joy come together—a place that nourishes our communities now and becomes an inheritance for generations to come.

Having my daughter beside me made that future feel especially close.

Today I offered a herbal bath experience rooted in stillness, reflection, and return to self. The water becomes a portal — a space where, for this moment, the only thing one has to focus on is themselves.

What would it feel like if, in every moment, we paused long enough to look inward? To ask ourselves what we truly need, what brings us joy, when we feel most held, balanced, cared for, and at peace.

The essence of the flowers and herbs gently opens the body and spirit, helping release what no longer serves us while creating space to move forward with intention. A reminder that self wellness is not a luxury, but something worthy of being prioritized, nurtured, and honored.
May we continue creating moments where we can soften, listen deeply to ourselves, and remember that healing can begin with simply allowing ourselves to receive.

What does wellness look like when it is rooted in land, ritual, and community?

What if it wasn’t something we squeezed into our schedule, but something we stepped into fully?

At WILDSEED, we’ve explored this through offerings like The Well of the Senses — an immersive retreat for release and renewal.

quiet wandering through the forest

Sometimes we gather together, and other times we follow the wisdom of our own rhythm.

Each offering and element inviting the senses to open and the nervous system to soften — allowing those who spend their lives caring for others to return home to themselves.

This year, WILDSEED is slowing down programming as we prepare to build on the land, strengthening our infrastructure, and listening deeply to our community. We’re asking:

As a mother and a poet, Renee Nicole Good’s killing hit me hard. I kept thinking about her children. I kept thinking about how quickly a life can be reduced—before truth has time to breathe, before a name is fully held.

Renee was a poet. While studying creative writing at Old Dominion University, she won the Academy of American Poets Prize for her poem “On Learning to Dissect Fetal Pigs.” That poem lives in the tension between science and soul, between what can be named and what must be felt. It refuses reduction. It insists on wonder. I found myself returning to it as I tried to understand what had been taken—and what still remains.

The poem I’m sharing here is written in conversation with hers. It’s a remix, a response, and a vigil. I wrote it for her children, for her legacy, and for all of us who are trying to make sense of a world where care keeps being mistaken for danger. Writing felt like the only way I knew how to bear witness—to say that her life mattered, her questions mattered, and her love continues to move through the world.

I’m sharing this with the hope that others will pause, watch closely, ask the questions that remain unanswered, and show up—for truth, for accountability, and for change. Renee Nicole Good deserved more. Her children deserves more. All our children do.
