Ashna Konjeti picked up a mic and asked fellow student ambassador Kelviyana Walker-Valentin what she’s enjoyed most at #WIMSummit.

Kelviyana’s answer: meeting physicians she might never have crossed paths with otherwise.

They’re getting to know people, asking good questions and sending us clips along the way. Student ambassadors, we see you working. 🎤💛 #wimstrongertogether #wimsummit #medstudent

some footage I never planned on posting…

for some reason, I hesitated for a long time to make a post like this… so if you’re here reading this, thank you. it means a lot :’)

most of y’all don’t really know me behind the scenes—beyond the reels and snippets of life I choose to share online.

truth is, I’m so incredibly quite weak in heart and mind. I stress out so easily. I get overwhelmed by the smallest things. And imposter syndrome follows me into every new stage of life, every new door I open.

these traits have felt like major setbacks during rotations. They’ve affected my physical health—sleepless nights, stomach cramps, even vomiting from anxiety. They’ve also created gaps in friendships when stress pulled me inward instead of toward people I love.

sometimes I wonder if this particular combo of medicine + my flaws are shaping me into a “better future doctor” but maybe a less present, less “human” human.

I’ve been working with an amazing therapist to process all of this—to not just cope, but to create space for things that matter beyond medicine. She encouraged me to start video diaries… to empty my thoughts somewhere tangible instead of holding them all in.

so alas, here are some of those moments…clips where weakness turned into tears, but strength came back through prayer.

TLDR: behind the scenes, I’m deeply flawed… and deeply loved as a child of God.

I’m learning to show that side more.

this journey was never meant to be done alone.
He’s been faithful through every breakdown, every late-night prayer, every quiet moment when I had nothing left. Thank you God. 🤍

if you are in a similar season of life or can relate to this, my heart and prayers go out to you <3
