The girls girl in me can’t quit 💖🫶🏻🤠 Sorry not sorry 🤠

NOT FUN FACT ABOUT ME: I didn’t used to be a girls girl!!!! 😭

Many, many years ago… I felt competitive with other women & felt like they were taking something from ME by them shining. I learned through heartbreak that it was the type of man I was attracted to back then. In those relationships… a lack of attention to me felt like someone else was “winning.” Now I chose people who are actually interested in ME for me.

Thank God those thought patterns are LONG gone & I aim instead now after learning that to help other women have confidence in themselves and not be threatened by other womens’ confidence either. 🤙🏻🤠

I learned a long time ago that we are all so unique and I’d rather build up another woman than watch ANYONE fall. I’ve fallen and fallen in my life, caused others to fall when I didn’t know any better, and I have debts to pay. Meeting God in 2020 pulled me from lots of damaging thought processes. We need each other. I LOVE seeing women stick together, and I LOVE when women support women. Be strong together, cheesy as it sounds!

Nothing someone else does takes away from you. Grow. Chase what you want. Dream. Build. And help others along the way. Lord knows you’ve needed it, too.

The advice I wish I’d been told sooner 🌟

I don’t talk to my Mom, but I really wish I could. My Dad has taught me most I know, but a lot of things I learned the hard way. Here are some of the life altering ones that came way later if you never knew either 💖

1. You don’t need to chase love from anyone. God provides ALL the love you need. Rest in it. Nobody needs to validate you.

2. If someone’s reality is different than yours, it doesn’t mean yours isn’t still important. Other people are allowed to believe what they’d like & you can validate their experience/apologize if needed without changing your mind about what you experienced.

3. Being misunderstood is uncomfortable but crucial to let go of. Know your intent, ask God to check your heart, & do your best to be kind/apologetic when needed.

4. Emotions are navigators. Don’t make decisions while they are high, but it’s okay to be sensitive to certain things. It’s not always appropriate to share every emotion you feel. Give yourself time to process before speaking.

5. Anger is a valid feeling. God felt anger, too. It’s okay to allow yourself to be upset because it can indicate something is wrong. We don’t sin in our anger, but you don’t have to repress it for 31 years. 😅

6. You can be understanding without being okay with what’s happening to you. Always be forgiving & seek reconciliation, but you are not required to maintain relationships that are harmful.

7. Love others as much as possible but remember that God is also their care-taker. You are not responsible for anyone but you. God will take care of them, teach them, lead them. Your job is to be understanding, be forgiving, and maintain love.

8. “Nice” is not kind.

9. You are not a burden. It’s okay to ask for help, many people enjoy helping others.

10. Don’t trust everyone. People mean well, but take time before you share too much.

And last but not least.. because I’ve been here often & grown to LOVE space… but if you ever feel alone, just know you have plenty more people to meet & God ain’t never leavin’ ya.

Get those reps in!

If you carry concealed you had better be proficient with performing from concealed.

OWB holster draw looks super cool but if you don't have a job where you carry a gun on your hip, then those reps will never translate to the real world scenario.

Train for the real thing. Be proficient at it.

What is my life purpose? What was I made to do? What career should I pick? What path should I take? 😣

We as humans often freeze ourselves in the thoughts of making the wrong choice. Don’t forget that the ultimate new commandment is to “love one another as I have loved you.” While that doesn’t mean to throw everything else out, it simply means to remind yourself of this when you’re struggling to make a choice. 🙏🏻

Do the most loving thing. Do the thing that helps others most. Do what helps you be a better person FOR others. The answer will never come to you, but God’s Word can always guide you.
