💜CONGRATS TO OUR ALUMNA @kali_kleiman on her major debut 💜💐
.
We could not be more proud of Kali Kleiman, our beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy 2018, for her recent debut performances as Sugar Plum Fairy in Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Nutcracker! 🩰🎄💝

Kali was invited in 2023 to join PNB’s corps de ballet by Artistic Director @petboal , and has since played both corps and soloist roles. Prior to PNB she was an apprentice @houstonballet after graduating from @sab_nyc in New York where she played leading roles in their school performances including Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux and Sugar Plum Fairy.

Her five years with us at The Dallas Conservatory were filled with awards and scholarships including the Hope and top awards @yagp , @nycda , @adcibc , @worldballetcompetition and @youngarts (where she worked one-on-one with @wendyw of New York City Ballet and SAB). Summers were spent at The Dallas Conservatory, @ellisonballet , Paul Mejia Ballet, @houstonballetacademy , @rockschooldance , @sab_nyc and @pnb_school at @pacificnorthwestballet .
.
✨Follow Kali on Instagram @kali_kleiman as well as on TikTok, YouTube and her podcast!✨

Congratulations to all of Kali’s teachers and coaches, and also to her family, for the training and support over many years of passionate hard work! 💐
.
Dreams do come true!! Leave your comments and emojis for Kali!

I made my Sugar Plum debut last week!

There are few moments as a dancer where your fantasy becomes reality. To debut a role I’ve idolized feels surreal, intimidating, and daunting but mostly feels incredibly rewarding.
My partner stepped up to be my cavalier just three days before the show. Our first rehearsal was shockingly easy, our second not so much, and our final rehearsal was an on stage run. On our fourth day of rehearsal we performed in front of a sold out audience debuting as Sugar plum and Cavalier. @zsilas.zsila.zsi thank you for taking care of me at every step!

@petboal @kicon82 thank you so much for your encouragement, generosity, and care that you provided to us. We couldn’t have done it without your wisdom.

Grateful for my people that have been with me every step of the way! My parents need more than an instagram caption. Thank you! So much of me is because of you and thank goodness for that. You are both the best that I know. 🫶
