SENSESTORY

Where art meets the senses, and every sound, texture, aroma, and taste awakens a memory of home.

An immersive journey through the familiar, the nostalgic, and the deeply personal — reminding us that sometimes, home is not a place, but a feeling.

Small, isn't it? 😊
Measuring just 30 × 20 cm, this is quite a tiny canvas painting. Yet, it has always been one of my personal favorites. I painted 𝘌𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 during the Covid-19 pandemic, a time when so many thoughts, emotions, & feelings were stirring within me. Somehow, I poured much of what I was experiencing into this little painting. Despite its size, 𝘌𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 has had a rather special journey. In 2021, it was selected through a curatorial process for the 11𝙩𝙝 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙭𝙝𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙨 at the Shanghai Art Collection Museum, China.

And now, 𝘌𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 has found a new place to stay. You can see it at VIA Social Bistro, thanks to a lovely collaboration between @meiro.gallery and @via.social_

I've always loved how an artwork takes on a life of its own, moving from one space to another, meeting new people, and perhaps finding new meanings through the eyes of those who encounter it. A little painting, carrying memories & a journey much bigger than its size. ❤️
