🌊 Meet Melitta Dsouza, a contemporary movement artist with 20 years of experience across dance, musical and physical theatre, choreography and movement education. Her work spans musical productions, solo performance, dance film, and more! Her film Until It Ran Into Me premiered at Cinedans Amsterdam and received a Special Mention for Best Choreography at ZED Festival Videodanza.

Melitta’s practice uses devised movement to explore how our bodies respond to other people, nature and the environments we inhabit. In this workshop, she invites participants to investigate movement through their own embodied experiences. 🪱

We are so happy to host this inclusive workshop at Mishro - we believe bodies of all kinds inherently have stories to tell. This is your sign to come find out what that could mean for you! 🫀

This much anticipated performance, is both moving and poignantly relevant to this time of great change that we find ourselves grappling with 🌊 Melitta Dsouza @melachi20 & Navin Kelamane @kelamane_navi will move together, asking what happens in the space between two bodies. How does change magnify, or transform from one second to the next, from one entity to the other? 🧬

Day Three • 25 Oct • 7:30-8:00pm
Please be seated 15 mins before we begin!

This performance is included in the festival ticket - we have day passes and full access available - open to all ages - children under 14 do not require a ticket to attend 🌀

12 SEPT 2026 | LURU SCREENDANCE FESTIVAL PREMIERE

We opened the inaugural edition of Luru ScreenDance Festival at Suchitra Cinema and Cultural Academy with an evening of films, movement, conversations and celebration.

The screen became a meeting point, bringing together filmmakers, dancers, choreographers, artists and audience from different places, all connected by a shared curiosity about what happens when move ton enters the cinematic frame.

The evening featured a curated selection of international ScreenDance films and music videos, followed by the LURU Awards, celebrating works that pushed the possibilities of choreography, cinematography and storytelling on screen.

But beyond the films and awards, it was the people in the room that made it the evening what it was.

Swipe through a few glimpses from the opening evening.

We all develop habits, preferences, and ways of making work.

Collaboration gently (and sometimes not so gently) asks:

Why this choice?
What if we tried something else?
What are we not seeing?

And that’s where growth begins.

1) Prime : Rehearsal Director for Avantika Bahl
2) CTactile : Movement collaborator @melachi20 understudy @nishaa_smita
3) As a dancer for 29 Principles shoot choreography by @surjit_nongmeikapam
4) & 5) Choreography for IYCP Taiwan
6) Movement Collaborator for Weft by Avantika Bahl
