I’ve been taking a moment to truly reflect on the journey and appreciate myself for everything it took to get here. Over 20 years of sacrifice, discipline, late nights, early mornings, setbacks, perseverance, and choosing to keep going when it would’ve been easier not to.

Today, I’m allowing myself to be proud. Proud of the boy who had a dream, the young man who refused to give up, and the person I’ve become through it all. More than 20 years of work led to this moment—and I earned every bit of it. 🥂

JUNE dump😜✨💕

June, I chose to pour into myself. After years of chasing “change,” I realized what I truly wanted was peace, purpose, and a better quality of life.
.
I didn’t know the how, the when, or the where.
.
God simply said, “Go.”
.
Just two weeks out from my bodybuilding competition, I spontaneously flew to Dallas, to rest, reset & spend time with the people I love.
.
In 1 day, I found my home and got my keys. I flew back to New York on Friday, emptied my entire home on Saturday, and started peak week on Sunday. 🥵
.
I sold, donated and threw away almost everything I owned. I packed my entire life into my car & two suitcases. Shipped my car on Thursday. Rented a car on Friday and drove to Connecticut for my show. I competed all day Saturday, slept about two hours, drove back to New York at 2am, to catch a 6 a.m. flight to Dallas on Sunday.

I made it to my gate 15 minutes before boarding & had the worst seat on the plane but none of that mattered because I knew I was walking into my new life.
.
Spent the rest of June spending quality time with the people I love and learning to be present.
.
I’m so incredibly proud of myself.
.
I planned it.
I packed it.
I competed.
I moved.
.
All alone.
.
No team behind me.
No safety net.
No hand to hold through any of it.
.
Just me, Milo and two suitcases.
.
This wasn’t about being independent.
It was about finding out what I was capable of when I had no other choice but to rely on God and myself.
.
June taught me that the life God has planned often requires releasing the one you’ve outgrown.
.
May your July be filled with blessings, peace, God’s favor, His love, healing, answered prayers, new opportunities, and joyful days.

One step away from the dream I’ve worked my entire life for. ❤️

As many of you know, I’m currently in my fourth year of medical school at Howard University College of Medicine, working toward becoming the first physician in my family. I’m set to graduate in December 2026! The journey has not been easy, and lately the financial weight of tuition, rent, board exams, residency applications, and away rotations has felt overwhelming.

Due to recent cuts affecting HBCU funding, many students, including myself, have experienced major reductions in financial aid that was already not enough to fully cover medical school and basic living expenses. I’ve applied for scholarships, taken on side jobs, and exhausted loan options, but despite those efforts, I’m still falling short.

It’s frustrating because this should be the season where I’m fully focused on preparing for my final board exam and finishing strong, but instead, so much of my time and energy has gone toward figuring out how to simply make it to the finish line and provide for my basic needs.

To be honest, it took a lot for me to even make this post. No one wants to publicly admit they need help, and being this vulnerable feels embarrassing to say the least. But I also know this part of my journey is temporary. God has carried me this far, and I trust He will continue to make a way🙏🏾.

Still, I refuse to give up now.

I know thousands of people have completed residency before me, but somehow that doesn’t make it feel any easier when you’re the one living it.

As I get closer to graduation, I’m realizing just how much has happened in the last three years. Countless hours in the hospital, exams, overnight shifts, learning how to be a physician… and even becoming a mom too.

Some days I’m exhausted. Some days I’m proud. Most days I’m both.

I’m gratecul that God saw fit to put me on this path snd see me through this journey.
