POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Seven years ago I experienced a personal and professional *moment* when I interviewed screenwriter Daniel Waters and director Michael Lehmann for a special re-release of “Heathers” on Blu-ray. I laughed a lot during this interview — those fellows got wit.

The movie “Heathers” changed my life. The film showed me the insanity of the cut throat halls of high school that I was already experiencing as a middle schooler in 1989. The film was shocking. It made me laugh. It inspired me to write satire. It pushed boundaries and still does all these years later.

Many thanks to Melanie Mullen for being an excellent producer!

Belated year in review. Highlights include @onastringmovie premiering at Tribeca, seeing my own face (and the movie I produced!) on an AMC screen, so many friends getting married, finally enjoying reading again, and The Hall of Fishes.

And for the tens of people who are invested in this saga — no, I have not finished Moby Dick yet. Maybe this book is my white whale?

Look what just arrived! My book “Laura’s Ghost: Women Speak about Twin Peaks” is finally here. I’m feeling gratitude for everyone who participated in this book and who helped bring it to fruition. This has been one hell of a year but when it’s all said and done, I made this. Thank you to everyone for your support! I can’t wait for you to read what these incredible women said and wrote. 💙

Happy birthday to Laura Palmer — one of the most impactful characters in television and film ... so much so, I wrote a book about her ...

Coming this October: "Laura’s Ghost: Women Speak about Twin Peaks." This book explores the legacy of Laura Palmer and is a reckoning in which women speak about trauma, mischief, humor, sexuality, strength, weakness, wickedness, and survival.

It took a village to write this book, and this book would not be possible without women speaking to me, opening up their hearts and minds and sharing their time. Thank you to all of the women who participated in this book. Thank you for sharing your stories.

Highlights from the book:

- Interviews with Sheryl Lee, Grace Zabriskie, Jennifer Lynch, and Sabrina Sutherland
- An original essay by Grace Zabriskie about Sarah Palmer
- Original poems by Sheryl Lee
- Interviews with 26 women from the fan community
- An original essay by Willow Catelyn Maclay about Laura Palmer
- An original essay by Samantha Weisberg about Amie Harwick
- Original art on the back cover by Jill Watson

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN).

Available to preorder at www.fayettevillemafiapress.com.

In 2018 I had one of my best days ever. Hanging out with these amazing friends and also screening my short films "The Summer House at Pearl Lakes: Part 1 and 2". Watching it on Marys ( Sarah Palmers) big TV was beyond amazing. Dreams do come true. I am so grateful to have such amazing friends <3 I love all of you to the moon and back. Can´t wait to visit you all again someday.
