POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It was an honor to host a workshop for @aka_nlo annual #AuthorSymposium ! I learned so much and met so many wonderful ladies that were established authors, pursuing being authors, or just there to support the authors! Thank you for having me and thank you @melanielynn615 for always thinking of me and supporting!

One year ago, we opened a door with nothing but a dream and each other. Today, we’re still here, because of every person who walked through it. It’s been a hustle every step of the way, and somehow, we still find joy. The friends we’ve made. The family we’ve gained. The people who understood our purpose before we ever had to explain it, that’s what carried us from a dream to a pitch competition win, to the news, to a real place people keep coming back to. Thank you for getting crafty with us. Here’s to year two. 🥂✨

Special thanks to our social media interns, the content creators we have worked with, PR agent, the other small businesses we have collaborated with, our Yelp Atlanta family and are friends and family who have supported along this journey. Big Hugs 🤗 💕💕🙏🏽

From college classmates to published authors… what a journey. 💛

There’s something incredibly special about watching the people you started with continue to walk in purpose.

It was such a joy reconnecting with my college classmate @melanielynn615 at @blackwritersweekend Years ago, we were simply students chasing our dreams. Today, we’re both authors using our stories to inspire, heal, and change lives.

What makes this moment even more meaningful is that we’re also contributors in an anthology published by another one of our college classmates. To witness each of us using our gifts in different ways is a reminder that your journey may take unexpected turns, but purpose has a way of bringing it all together.

Never underestimate the seeds you plant or the relationships you build along the way. One day, they may become part of your greatest chapters.

Here’s to friendship, legacy, and the power of telling our stories authentically.

Congratulations, Melanie! I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become and the lives you’re impacting. @rebuiltlegacygroup

This weekend, I had the incredible honor of serving as a speaker at @blackwritersweekend , sharing the stage with talented authors, creatives, and literary leaders who are using their voices to make a difference.

As I looked out into the audience, I was reminded that With Love, I Let Go was never just about publishing a book. It was about creating conversations that help people heal, reclaim themselves, and believe that their story matters.

From writing through my own heartbreak to speaking on stages, seeing my book placed in bookstores and libraries across the country, and connecting with readers whose lives have been touched by these pages, I’m reminded that there is power in telling your truth and having the courage to be authentically yourself through your story. The story you’re afraid to share may be the very story someone else needs to hear.

Thank you to the entire Black Writers Weekend team @tamikanewhouse for the invitation and for creating a space where Black stories are celebrated, honored, and elevated. It was a privilege to contribute to the conversation and connect with so many gifted writers.

This is only the beginning.

Mission: Heal 100,000 Black Women

Community really is everything 🤎
And ours? It’s black girl magic—made possible by this incredible group of readers and writers who showed up, shared, and poured into one another at our Writers Roundtable.

Hosted by The Cute Connect x @purplepeacockpress, with special guest Megan Spann @shewriteseverything87 of @draft2digital.

At The Cute Connect, we believe magic happens when readers and writers share space, ideas, and inspiration. Our Writers roundtables is your chance to connect with fellow creatives, talk about the writing journey, exchange insights, and spark new ideas in the warm, welcoming atmosphere our community is known for.

Thank you to all who participated, attended, asked questions, shared information and dropped in just because they saw a group of Black women gathering in the library.

✨Slide two is my mantra for the year baby! There’s something powerful about being in a room full of people who get it.

As we close out the year, our hearts are truly full. 💕
In just three short months of opening L&L Crafty Finds, we’ve hosted incredible classes, welcomed beautiful people into our space, celebrated being featured on the news, and worked alongside some truly amazing student interns who have helped bring our vision to life.
From our supportive realtor, to our loyal customers, content creators, business collaborators, and every person who showed up and believed in what we’re building—thank you. 🙏🏾Winning a grant, watching our classes grow, and seeing community form right before our eyes has been a powerful reminder that this work matters.
We are beyond thankful and deeply blessed as we step into 2026, ready to offer even more creative, joy-filled experiences.
Come check us out and come get crafty with us. 🎨

Here is one reason why I love BYOB Bookclub so much. A book that I put down after the second chapter, is the same book that my favorite (and only male) bookclub member said he would recommend to as a must read. Can you guess which book turned movie we were discussing 🤭🤓🤔
