WOW.
The Immortal Sisterhood LIVE... in Manchester & London, where we wove our choreopoem / music theatre and honouring ceremony in a lecture theatre and former gigantic warehouse!

It's been out of this world to take this kernel of an idea with some friends into a full-steam experimental performance that has taken place and popped up in unexpected places.
Each and everyone of the ensemble and bts team has created something beautiful and in my opinion, different to anything else out there in these times. Someone said to me last night, that it was transportive to a 1970’s New York where unapologetic happenings would take place and were political by nature. I'm so proud of that. Folk left the show last night saying they were inspired, to write, read more, archive, play an instrument, sing.. dance and express themselves with love!

I couldn't ask for more than that for my community.

Thank you to everyone who has been involved in making this happen.

If you're new to the work grab yourself a copy of Audre Lorde's book - Sister Outsider, listen to some Betty Davis and write down how it makes you feel.

That's The Immortal Sisterhood, into the world. I'mma taking a break to cuddle my babies, life feels so full of vitality and love.

Experience The Immortal Sisterhood LIVE - a groundbreaking, ensemble-led collaboration about honour and grief 🎶 🎭

The Immortal Sisterhood LIVE (@theimmortalsisterhoodlive) presents an intuitive, futurist perspective on the themes of honour and grief.

The project started as an idea from multi-award-winning broadcaster and published author Gemma Cairney (@gemagain), who has written The Immortal Sisterhood as a book.

The production is a collaboration between a stellar ensemble with different disciplines including Simone Seales (@simone.cello), Mele Broomes (@melebroomes), A Jones (@alchemistjones), Fay Guiffo (@fayguiffo) and Roxanne Tataei (@roxannetataei) using operatic scales, movement, poetry, live cello, violin and more.

Witness an unforgettable journey of the remarkable women who we stand on the shoulders of, celebrated through an extraordinary fusion of art forms that transcend time and genre.

Body Remedy continues to organise as a small team of artists, curators and creative practitioners based in Glasgow 🌱

The breadth of our individual creative practices is fundamental to how we dream, strategise and organise together. With the resources available to us, we make space for our team to sustain their own practices, this approach enables Body Remedy to resource BPOC multi-artform practices holistically and from multiple perspectives.

This year’s Music & Movement programme, semente, has emerged from such values by inviting artists whose practices draw us back to the root of Body Remedy’s core purpose, that our bodies contain life-affirming knowledge which can be reached and experienced by embodied movement and communal practices.

Body Remedy was founded through a collaborative spirit that continues to shape how we work. While Mele and Zoë have stepped on from their directorial roles, their vision, values and ways of working remain woven through every layer of the organisation.

Over the next month, we’ll be reintroducing the people behind Body Remedy and sharing more about the practices that inform our work.

📌 For now, check out semente and book your tickets at bodyremedy.org/2026 — link in bio! 🌱
