Healing can look like a lot of things. Sometimes it’s doctors and treatments and trying to get your body feeling right again. Sometimes it’s mountains, dry air, hot springs, and quiet moments. It can also be people who love you enough to distract you with Catan, bully you into going heavier, and make you laugh when you really didn’t feel like it.

I’m so thankful to everyone at the OPTC for taking care of me the last couple months. Everyone I spend time with there is an absolute gift from heaven. Thank you to Jackie for being there with us during training but also sitting with me and distracting me while getting holes drilled in my bones and needles in my arm. 🦴💕

Heading home today to squeeze Casey and Ruby and MAYBE share a surprise this week too. I’m also excited to check out @1kilohq and see my teammates and coach after such a long time. ❤️💛💙💚

My time at the USOPTC was exactly what I needed. The facilities are incredible - walking into them every day made me feel proud of the work I get to do and grateful for this life I’ve worked to hard to have. 🇺🇸

Huge thank you to the strength coaches (and Jackie, Mike & Wes), everyone in medical, the kitchen staff, admin staff, and cleaning staff who made every single day better and feel like I wasn’t THAT far from home. And to the amazing people I met here - you inspire me. There’s nothing like being surrounded by people all chasing their dreams.

Kolbi and Ryan, two athletes I probably never would have trained with if it weren’t for this opportunity. You’re both amazing and so talented. Kolbi is so strong, but will make the best coach ever one day. Ryan has been lifting for so many years and is STILL improving. These guys are such hard workers and I’m so, so blessed with have been able to spend time with them.

Finally - getting to be able to spend time with my friends, @melherl and @strength_coach_sroka when coming to the springs is a HUGE added bonus and one I’m so also so thankful for!!

Thank you USOPC for this opportunity. I’ll be back soon! ❤️🤍💙
