Good amenity design is about creating spaces people actually want to come back to. A place where focus stays productive and a shared meal feels worth the pause.

Behind every successful project is a series of conversations that shaped it.

Here are six conclusions from our latest conversation with @mellingstudio — drawn from experience, refined through collaboration

The Houlihan Residence, designed by @mellingstudio and the renderings we made to help bring the design to life before it was built.

When Laura Melling’s clients finally moved into their home, it felt exactly like the renderings had promised.

That’s the conversation we sat down to have with @mellingstudio - not just about the Houlihan Residence, but about what it actually takes to carry a vision from a floorplan to a lived-in space, and where renderings fit into that process long before anyone sees a final image.

: created for @department.of.interest to be placed at a recent open house

the floral arrangement was conceived as part of a larger conversation with the home itself

i’m interested in creating botanical work that sits alongside thoughtful architecture & design, considering both the interior & exterior landscapes of a space

every element was intentionally considered, including the vessel, made by incredibly talented @the_mgrimm

stems of willow were gathered from the property & incorporated as a gesture toward the landscape itself & perhaps a little luck!

my hope is that the work encourages a deeper connection to the space

We’re jetting off to Copenhagen for @3daysofdesign!

What we’re most excited about: travelling with a small cohort of like-minded creatives from Vancouver and exploring the many ways the silk scarves from our Odyssey Collection can be styled through their unique perspectives.

Follow along for updates from our journey and inspiration from the design capital of Scandinavia. 🇩🇰✨
