As festival season winds down, let's take a minute to reflect on an awesome summer. I was fortunate to have a summer full of great music . I was at Heartland, Back Doune The Rabbit Hole, Arbroath Music Fest and Summer's end this year! 🤩🌞

Let me know in the comments where you have been this year and if you have discovered any new bands.

My personal favourite new finds: @hutch.band and @mellowparty_ , @ant_thomaz and @thekillingtide - check them all out 💙

What a crowd and gig last night. Don't know where to begin. Just a warm embrace of music from the crowd and artists in an amazing venue that do things right. One of @mellowparty_ best ever gigs and an honour to share the stage with the enigmatic @alanjohnfrew and his amazing band including @erinhephz_ Not to mention the brilliant Italian troubador @damienmcfly both mesmerising and taking the crowd into different moods and atmospheres. A truly special bill to be a part of at @freckfest @harbour.arts.centre.irvine
Great to finish the night with the weight!

Next up on the 7th of August! 🗓

We're excited to welcome three brilliant acts to the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine, including The Alan John Frew Band.

A Scottish indie‑folk act known for rich vocals, expressive fiddle, and rhythmic acoustic guitar with subtle Latin influences. Led by acclaimed songwriter Alan John Frew, the band blends emotional storytelling with warm, atmospheric arrangements. With performances across the UK and Europe - including Belladrum, Arran Folk Festival, and the Royal Concert Hall - Alan has built a reputation as an authentic and compelling voice. The band - featuring Simone Welsh on fiddle/vocals and @erinhephz_ on vocals - will perform new material alongside favourites from Songs From The Sea, including the debut of “Go Easy.”

Big celebrations today 🥳 ✨️💛🎓

Huge congratulations to oor John McMustard @colonelmustardandfriends on completing his Postgraduate Diploma in CBT - BABCP approved from Queen Margaret University, South of Scotland. 🎓👨‍🎓

After speaking with John, he said it’s “one of the best things I’ve done in my 20 year NHS career” and he’s seen firsthand the major benefits CBT can have for people with anxiety, depression and other disorders.

20 years of NHS service + now adding specialist CBT to the toolkit. Amazing work 👏

We're all proud of you mate.
