Loved having my kids pin on my new rank of Lieutenant Colonel! I’m so thankful for all the sacrifices Marissa has made along the way and for the support of my family, friends, leaders, and mentors!

Being a dad in 90ish seconds 😂♥️

Showed this video to my new family in Canada 🇨🇦 because I miss my girls @melodyjavier_ and Shiloh CONSTANTLY 😭 Becoming a dad has somehow exceeded every expectation I had, and watching this video makes me all the more grateful. And yes, Shiloh might be a gymnast one day 😂

Through the trauma, God was in every detail.

I went in to get induced on November 19th (her due date was Dec 2).

I was in labor for 2 days straight, and on the 21st, a nurse came in with a package from a random woman. This woman had a traumatic birth 5 years prior in the same hospital I was at. My nurse told me that she came up and asked if there was a mama in labor that could use some encouragement or love, and out of the 6-8 mamas on the floor, the staff chose me.

So I received a beautiful gift from her (slide 2) and it was exactly what I needed in that moment (right before I decided to get an epidural). This was a message from God telling me I was going to survive and make it through.

I didn’t give birth until 3:13am on the 22nd.

22 is such a significant number for Ryan an I.
We started dating 2/22
Supposed to be engaged 6/22 but there was bad weather so ended up being the 24th
Got married on 10/22

And then our beautiful baby girl was born 11/22- 3 days after being induced.

I spent some time researching the significance of the number 22.

the number 22 biblically means completeness & divine order.

The 22nd book of the Bible is Song of Songs which is a love story between husband & wife & God’s relationship with us.

The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters and the final letter is Tav which signifies truth, perfection & completion.

I didn’t know looking back almost 6 years ago how significant that date would be. But it proves even MORE that God has been and will continue to be in the details in every part of our life, including this birth story.

Then on to postpartum—
At the 2nd or 3rd shift change, we had an awesome surprise and one of my friends from church @melodyjavier_ walks in the room. We found out she was our nurse, which was so encouraging considering she’s the youth pastors wife, and she is someone we know we can trust, would listen and pray over us throughout recovery.

She even let me go outside even though we weren’t supposed to 😂❤️ (I hadn’t stepped foot outside in 5 days and started feeling insane) it was cold, but she was willing to do that for me. THANK YOU @melodyjavier_ I’ll never forget that moment ❤️

Story City & Bristow, IA 🌽

This Summer, I had the honor of preaching the Gospel and seeing God move in powerful ways in these places 🙏🏽 It’s always an honor to see what Jesus is doing beyond the local Church that I serve in!

One of the best highlights of the summer (and honestly one of my favorite highlights in ministry, ever) was returning to the small town of Bristow, IA to visit Northeastern Iowa Christian Service Camp — the place where it ALL started for me. It was at that same camp in 2011 when I got called into Youth Ministry. Little did I know that God would not only lead me from that small camp to where I now serve in Colorado Springs, but also open doors to preach in other states and even other countries. To stand there 14 years later, with some of the youth (and leaders) I’ve been privileged to lead, truly was a full-circle moment 🔄

Another special moment was having one of my best friends, Tim, come support me while I preached in Iowa. Years ago, we rededicated our lives to Jesus on the same day along with a couple of other friends. For him to be there all these years later as I preached the same Gospel that we truly accepted years ago was a moment I’ll always treasure 🙏🏽

Thankful for what God did at pursue conference 2025 and what He’s doing in Canada @eondstumin . Thankful for what God is doing at @onelove_yth in Denver. And thankful to witness what God is doing in @riversidelbc 🔥

Grateful for every soul touched, every salvation that took place, and every life changed. and I’m especially grateful that Jesus chose to speak to me all those years ago at a small camp in North Eastern, Iowa 💯

Iowa - a 6 day camp.

I had the privilege of serving as a cabin leader in Riverside, Iowa. God moved in some incredible ways this week through prayer and healings amongst many high school students.

⛈️Even a storm that was on trajectory to hit our camp during our time of prayer, and it literally was moved by prayer.🙏

I celebrate you Holy Spirit. This stop in my journey will be one I definitely will point to when people ask about my journey!

God reminded me - Authority doesn’t just come from title, it’s comes from closeness.

@riversidelbc thank you for sharpening my leadership

@josiahjavier_ , thank you for trusting my leadership. So grateful for you!

And to all I met, I’m grateful that I have family in Iowa! To God be the glory!
