POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A beat. A moment. A connection to something bigger.

When Melo Kan heard the production from THX, he didn’t chase a concept or force a message. He let go and let the music lead.

What came out was “Infinite Wisdom.”

No formula. No boundaries. Just a stream of consciousness shaped by life, experience, and something he couldn’t quite explain.

MELO KAN: IRL | EPISODE 1 • DROP 3
MEET THE LITES. 🎤

Same truth. Different energy.

Melo Kan has always made what he calls life music. Music about the things we’ve lived, the lessons we’ve learned, and everything in between.

But with The Lites, he’s bringing another side of that storytelling. More personality. More fun. More reasons to turn the music up and enjoy life.

In this drop, Melo introduces the people behind The Lites and gives some well-deserved love to The Wylde Bunch, the incredible live band that brought the music to life during our Tiny Desk-style performances.

And they didn’t just show up. They showed OUT. 🔥

Real musicians. Real chemistry. The kind of sound you don’t just hear. You feel.

We’re bringing that feeling back to music.

COMING NEXT: Before you hear Infinite Wisdom, we’re getting into the story behind it. What inspired Melo to write it? What was he going through? And why did he need to say it?

Then we’ll let the music speak.

LIFE MUSIC. NOT JUST RAP.

FREEMYNDS STUDIOS PRESENTS: MELO KĀN IRL
EPISODE 1 | DROP 2 — LIFE MUSIC

Some rappers tell you what they have. Others tell you what they’ve lived.

Melo Kān calls what he creates “Life Music.”

The struggles. The victories. The mistakes. The lessons you don’t learn until life makes you pay attention.

This is hip-hop with something to say.

In Drop 2, we get into who Melo is as an artist, revisit his 2022 album EPU2: King Amongst Nikkas, and discuss the journey to his latest release, 2BH (To Be Honest) — available now.

But the music is only part of the story.

We’re introducing The Lites, a collective of artists bringing musicianship, storytelling, and live performance back to the forefront.

We’ve already filmed an intimate, Tiny Desk-inspired performance, and we’re beginning to release three songs from 2BH.

And in the final drop of this episode, we’re taking you inside “Infinite Wisdom” — the music, the meaning, and the mind behind it.

Because sometimes the most important reason to create isn’t the money.

It’s getting what’s inside you out into the world.

SOME THINGS YOU CREATE FOR MONEY. OTHERS YOU CREATE BECAUSE YOUR SOUL WON’T LET YOU KEEP THEM INSIDE. 👑

FREEMYNDS STUDIOS × MELO KĀN: IRL | EPISODE 001
Infinite Wisdom: The Art of Doing It for Yourself.

Before the stages. Before the streams. Before the next big opportunity… there’s the reason we started creating in the first place.

We took it back to something simple: an early morning in Redondo Beach, fishing with family, catching up with an old friend, and having the kind of conversations that remind you why art matters.

Melo Kān pulled up to spend the morning with Millard, Dannay, Mansa, and cousin Raymond as we prepare for the next chapter of his musical journey.

And what started as a fishing trip turned into a conversation about purpose, perseverance, creative freedom, and the wisdom that only comes from living.

We get into Melo’s latest album, 2BH (To Be Honest), introduce his collective The Lites, and explore the story and creative process behind “Infinite Wisdom,” including an intimate live performance from our Tiny Desk-inspired sessions.

But the most important part of this episode isn’t about an album.

It’s about understanding that your art doesn’t always have to make you money to be worth making.

Sometimes you write because you need to heal. Sometimes you create because you have something to say. Sometimes the reward is simply knowing you didn’t leave your gift buried inside you.

We’ve been making music videos and telling stories together since 2014. Now we’re opening a new chapter, bringing the cameras into real life, and inviting you along as we build toward new music, live shows, and everything still ahead.

No manufactured moments. No industry masks. Just family, friendship, music, and the truth.

A seasoned voice with presence, pen, and perspective—Mistah Tibbs brings the kind of energy that can’t be manufactured. Every bar sounds earned. Every verse sounds lived.

On “Devil in the Closet” from Melo Kan’s new album 2BH, he steps in with sharp truth, heavy tone, and the kind of performance that makes you run a record back immediately.

This isn’t surface music.
This is music with scars, lessons, and weight.

And that’s exactly why it hits.

🎧 Melo Kan – 2BH is streaming NOW on all platforms.

Now we step into the next layer.

“They Don’t Love You”

This one hits different.

Because now it’s not just Melo—it’s a full sound. A full feeling. A full collective.
Featuring Miss.She.iLLwho doesn’t just sing on the record… she moves through it.

When we talked to her about the Wylde Bunch, one thing was clear—this isn’t just a band.
It’s a unit.
Real musicians. Real chemistry.
The kind you can’t fake and definitely can’t program.
The Wylde Bunch brings that raw, live energy back to the front—tight, intentional, and built off trust.

And you can feel it all over this record.

“They Don’t Love You” isn’t just a song—
it’s a realization.
That moment when you stop looking for validation and start standing in truth.

That’s what this whole project feels like.
No chasing. No reaching. Just alignment.

🎧 Melo’s new album “2bh” is streaming on ALL platforms right now. Go experience it the way it was meant to be heard.

And stay locked in—we’re dropping more moments, more stories, more sessions.

Some verses don’t get written…they get remembered.

When T-Tru stepped into “The Way I See It,”it wasn’t about finding the right words—
it was about telling the truth.

And that’s what hit Melo instantly.
No overthinking. No performance.Just lived experience… put on record.

The kind of verse you don’t have to coach. The kind you just press record and stay out the way.
Because for some of us…this isn’t storytelling.
This is everyday life.

Pressure. Survival. Loss. Perspective. The weight we carry—and still show up with something to say.
That’s why it feels different. That’s why it sounds different.

Because it is different.
This isn’t industry music.
This is lived music.

And when you hear T-Tru on this… you’ll understand.

🎧 Melo’s new album “2bh” is streaming on all platforms RIGHT NOW.Go tap in. Sit with it. Run it back.

And stay locked—we’re just getting started.

There was a moment this almost didn’t happen.

After years of silence, Melo hit me with something different. Not just music… a vision. A band. A feeling. Something real.

He sent the records. Said he wanted to build a live experience—something intimate, something honest. A “Tiny Desk”-type performance… but with soul.

The first shoot? Fell apart.
Wrong day. Wrong timing. No sound guy. San Diego turned into a loss.

Most people stop there.

But the band didn’t.

They doubled back. New day. New city. New energy.
Los Angeles opened up… and this time, I was there.

And what we created?
Timeless.

This isn’t just a performance.
This is a reset.

We’re going analog again.
Real instruments. Real voices. Real connection.

No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just music you can feel.

Introducing The Lites — the Socialites.
And this is just the beginning.

We’re dropping this as a series. Piece by piece. Moment by moment.
Building something you don’t just watch… you experience.

If you’ve been waiting for music to feel like something again… this is it.

🎧 Melo’s new album is OUT NOW on all streaming platforms.
Go run it up. Sit with it. Feel it.

Follow. Share. Tap in.
Let’s remind the world—

real music is back.
