New patterns from old worlds. Pulling figures, flourishes, and fragments from earlier designs and rearranging them until they become something new. 🖤

Revisiting older illustrations, combining them in new ways to build layered patterns that feel like forgotten wallpaper from haunted houses, enchanted libraries, and stories that haven’t been written yet.

Happy Mother’s Day ♥️ Things I learned from watching my mom get ready for work when I was a kid: Style your hair with a good roller set, put your face on, add more blush, don’t forget perfume & take it with you in case you need to refresh, & always always always wear earrings. She taught me that fashion is as much about confidence as it is about flair, each step a ritual in glam, a little camp, & a lot of attitude. #mothersdayart #rollerset #glamglam #mymomisthebest #latinamoms

Fever dreams…like roots pushing through cracked pavement while the city coughs in its sleep. I haven’t felt much like performing for the algorithm lately. Life has been louder than the internet with dental recoveries, an unexpected death, a lingering cold…all while the world smolders in the background. So, instead of “building engagement,” I made this reworking of an older piece. Three women growing out of a sickly little planet like tangled vines or unfinished prophecies. Witches, mourners, guardians, ghosts? Maybe all four…I don’t fully understand it yet but it resonates… 🖤 #artofjulie #darkillustration #thepowerofthree #moodyart #earthschooling

TWELVE YEARS. This feels like just yesterday when I first started the PA studio. What a time.

Kenny and Julie had just gotten married and I didn’t even have a beard yet.

Cosmic lullaby...that’s what came to mind as I drew this yesterday while on pain meds, exhausted, recovering from an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. 🖤 #artofjulie ✍🏼

Volume up to hear a snippet of a song I wrote and sang…a behind the scenes moment of writing, drawing, and daydreaming during these lovely winter times ❄️💙 @artofjulie
