Why I’m pressing pause on the MADRUSH podcast…

I’m not saying goodbye — just goodbye for now. 💙

I’m taking a step back from the podcast so I can pour everything into something I’ve dreamed about creating for years.

📖 The Rush Bible
✨ Coming May 12th

This book is the ultimate guide to navigating sorority recruitment with confidence, clarity, and authenticity — and I cannot wait for you to read it.

Thank you for being part of this community and trusting me with your recruitment journey.

Haven’t ever done this kind of Sunday scroll, but I sure love seeing yours. So here are a few things from my world this week…
1. Got to meet one of my new favorite authors, @allenlevi , as he talked about his wondrous book, Theo of Golden. I’m not sure I’ve heard someone tell stories with such charm, humility, and gratitude for God’s goodness. I loved him—and the book. If you haven’t read it yet, please do. Such a delightful evening with dear friends and co-workers.
2. I had the JOY of being the mystery reader for Henry’s class—on pajama day, no less. I read Happy Finds Her Calm(of course 😊).
3. Yes, that is Blair from The Facts of Life—and yes, you would love @lisawhelchel even more in person. We met her daughter, @havenweits , last year when she interviewed us for her podcast and were immediately struck by her depth and kindness. They came to town, we shared dinner and the loveliest conversation, and recorded a podcast episode together. I can’t even begin to tell you how rich it was talking about mothers and daughters. We’ll let you know when it airs.
4. I was brought to tears by my piano tuner this week. Long story, but you’re scrolling anyway…😉 Our family on my mom’s side lived in the same house for over a century, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Our family kept EVERYTHING. One of my very favorite hand-me-downs is a piano from the 1800’s. Playing it has been one of MY favorite coping skills since middle school. The deal was always that, whoever played the best (which really meant most) between @kmccarthynashville and I would be the one to inherit it. So, when Mom moved to town, I had to move my whole dining room table catty corner, just to make room for it. But it will always remind me of my mom and my beloved grandmother. It brought me to tears knowing the joy those two must have had hearing it played this way by @grantlarcom (because I CERTAINLY can’t make it sound like that!)
Happy Sunday, friends. Feeling lots of gratitude these days. Just finished my next favorite book, The Correspondent, which quotes James 1:17: Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
