Mother’s Day doesn’t have to be the same brunch rotation every year…

If you’re looking to switch it up a little this time around, I pulled together a few ideas happening around Cleveland that feel a little different 💐

Whether it’s something chill, something cute, or something you can actually enjoy together—there’s options.

More events are on the guide, so go find something that fits your vibe.

Save this for later + send it to someone you’re planning with.

This month, as we honor Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the phenomenal women who are doing meaningful work in the community and creating spaces for healing and growth.

This week, I want to highlight @iamtierrabanks the Founder of what I consider our sister organization, @mendedinccle. When I was building AML, I came across the Mended organization and felt led to reach out to Tierra. From that very first connection, our spirits instantly aligned.

Although we haven’t met in person yet, Tierra has been such a beautiful influence and mentor to me from afar. I deeply admire the work she is committed to, especially when it comes to strengthening and healing the mother-daughter relationship.

Tierra, we honor you during Women’s History Month and celebrate the impact you are making. I am so grateful for you and the connection we share, and I truly hope this is the year we finally get to connect in person.

Who did we forget?

This Giving Tuesday, we’re shining a light on some local nonprofits that don’t always make the big lists for support but make a huge impact. From neighborhood-based organizations to our public media station and the food bank, these groups keep our community informed, supported, and connected.

...Oh and if you find value in our stories and events, we would absolutely welcome your support too. #GivingTuesday #nonprofits #clevelandnonprofit

Happy Small Business Saturday!
Today we’re celebrating a very special group within the MORTAR Cleveland family — our Education Team. Not only do they guide, teach, and support our entrepreneurs… they’re entrepreneurs themselves.

These leaders pour into our cohorts while also building incredible businesses of their own. Their dedication, passion, and commitment to community uplift truly set the tone for what MORTAR is all about.
