Some stories stay with you long after the video ends. Clarisa Santos’ is one of them. Life can change in ways we never expected, and sometimes we find ourselves navigating challenges we never imagined. Clarisa is a 12-year breast cancer survivor who is now navigating menopause, and she has chosen to share her story so other women know they don’t have to face their health journeys alone. Her willingness to be open about her experiences is a reminder of why these conversations matter. Women deserve to understand their bodies, feel comfortable asking questions, and know how to advocate for themselves, especially when they’re facing the unknown. As we recognize Breast Cancer & Menopause Awareness Month and continue our conversations around menopause, we invite you to take a moment to check in with Clarisa, our testimonial panelist on October 17 at 11am inside Brandon Regional Library. We’re grateful she’s willing to share a part of her journey with us, and we hope her story reminds someone that they are not alone. Because at Check On Your Girls, we believe no woman should have to navigate life’s challenges without support, understanding, or a village. Menopause isn’t just a women’s conversation. It can affect relationships, intimacy, communication, family life and the way the people closest to us understand what we’re going through. And here’s something worth talking about: In a survey of men whose partners were experiencing menopausal symptoms, 63% said those symptoms affected them personally, while 56% said they affected their relationship. Yet only 46% were aware that treatment options for menopause were available. So why are we still treating menopause like something women are supposed to figure out alone? This is why we’re opening the conversation wider in collaboration with Demitrie & Karen Palm presenting: "Me, My Man & Menopause" 💜🩷 October 17 , use the link in our bio to register ! #menopauseawareness #menopausematters #menopauseconversation #womenshealth #marriageandmenopause
