For the last 10 years, I’ve spent countless hours talking with junior golf families, coaches, PGA professionals, tournament directors, and players across the country. One theme kept coming up over and over again: Junior golf has never been more competitive, but planning a tournament schedule has never been more complicated. Families are juggling dozens of tours, hundreds of events, registration deadlines, rankings, calendars, travel schedules, and endless websites just to build a season plan. So instead of continuing to complain about the problem, I decided to help build a solution. For the past year, we have been building something that we believe can make a real difference for junior golf families. TourMap. Our vision is simple: Create the most complete, organized, and family-friendly junior golf tournament planning platform in the country. TourMap is designed to help families spend less time searching for tournaments, tracking registration deadlines, and organizing schedules—and more time focusing on development, competition, and creating memories together. This fall, we’ll launch our first version featuring a nationwide tournament database, powerful filtering tools, and calendar integrations that help families stay ahead of registration deadlines and tournament schedules. We’re still early in the journey, but I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead. To everyone who has shared ideas, offered feedback, opened doors, or encouraged me along the way—thank you. The best part about building something meaningful is that we’re just getting started. As a PGA Professional and father, I’ve come to believe that time is our most valuable asset. TourMap was built to help families recapture some of that time and spend it where it matters most. Slow down. Be present. Recapture your time. #golf #JuniorGolf #sport #usga #pga

STOP PRACTICING THE SAME SHOT OVER AND OVER. If every ball you hit on the range is with the same club, to the same target, from the same lie you’re training for a game that doesn’t exist. Golf is random. Your practice should be too. Today with Ashley, we took random practice to another level. Before every shot, he drew a tee from a cup that determined:
🏌️ Ball flight (draw, fade or straight)
📈 Trajectory (high, medium or low) No knowing what was coming next.
No getting comfortable.
Just adapting, problem-solving and executing just like you have to on the golf course. The result? Better decision-making, improved focus and practice that actually transfers to lower scores. The best players don’t just hit balls
They train for the unpredictability of golf. Book your Studio Visit (link in bio 👆) and we will show you how to practice more effectively #canberragolf #golflesson #golfperformance #golfcoach #golftraining

🔥 HOT TAKE: Golf is one of the hardest sports on parents. Not because of the swing mechanics or the cost (though, yeah, both). It’s the mental game that’ll test you. Your kid shoots 85 and you see disappointment in their eyes. You drive 4 hours to a tournament they don’t place in. You watch them struggle with confidence while you’re sitting in the gallery feeling helpless. You become a therapist, a coach, a chauffeur, a cheerleader, and somehow still the bad guy when you ask about practice. The wins feel amazing. But the losses? Those stick with you. If you’re a golf parent right now, you’re doing harder work than most people realize. Your kid’s learning golf. You’re learning patience, sacrifice, and how to let them fail. That’s the real game. 💚 #GSDGolf #JuniorGolf #ParentLife #golflife #RealTalk

Swipe for —> Head Coaching Changes from Summer 2025 👀 in College Golf! The game of “musical chairs” has slowed down & there were fewer Coaching Changes compared to last year. 🙌 - As we transition into the start of the school year and college golf season, there are major changes materializing in the NCAA landscape - specifically budget reallocation, roster caps & scholarship limits. The seismic shift in college sports was inevitable after the NCAA vs House class action lawsuit which significantly affected non-revenue sports like golf. Golf Coaches are now expected to “do more with less”, allocate scholarship differently than in the past, & be vigilant with roster cap management. Coaches are now also trying to learn the landscape of College golfers signing formal NIL contracts and receiving structured support (marketing teams, legal support, financial advisors) from sponsors, collectives, and agencies. This just adds another layer to an already long job description. If you watched the US Am or US Women’s Am you probably noticed that there are more logos and sponsors on shirts, hats, and bags, than ever before. Coaching changes around the country have also affected roster movement, specifically into the transfer portal, and in some cases, past players following the exiting Coach directly to their the new school or causing a mass exodus. - Advice for JUNIOR GOLFERS: Your college coach is someone who will make a lasting impact on your college experience and someone who you will spend a significant amount of time with. How much time? Well.. about 4 hours/day, 6days/week, which adds up to 350+ hours each semester! Selecting your head coach can be a big piece of your final decision. So try to get to know Coaches on a personal level & ask them questions about their core beliefs, values, Coaching style, and expectations for the players on their team. Did we miss any Head Coaching Changes this summer? If so, please comment them in the section below… Thanks to @lanceringler & all the Coaches that helped us assemble the lists #collegegolf #collegegolfcoaching #ncaacoaches #ncaagolf #GuidingPlayersForward #revenueshare #rostercap #ncaavshouse #nilcontracts
