Only one restaurant in South Carolina made this list.

The New York Times just named Merci one of its 50 favorite restaurants in America. It’s a 24-seat bistro in an old corner grocery in Harleston Village, and it’s only been open 18 months. Before this list, it was already a James Beard finalist for Best New Restaurant.

The menu changes daily, but if the tuna crudo, charred cabbage Caesar or beef Wellington is on it, order it. Save room for the dark chocolate mousse.

How to get in:

🗓 Wednesday to Saturday
⏰ Reservations open on Resy at 9:30am, one week out. Set the alarm.
