Crawford County Youth Leadership is starting back up this week! 🎉 Youth Leadership is a six-month program conducted in all 6th grade classrooms throughout Crawford County. Through fun, hands-on activities and conversations with community volunteers, students build confidence, develop leadership skills, and learn how they can put those skills into action at school and in their communities. A program like this takes a whole community, and we are so thankful for the schools, teachers, staff, and volunteers who open their classrooms and give their time to make this experience possible for our students. Behind the scenes, the Chamber team has been busy getting everything ready for another year of Youth Leadership, from stuffing supply bags and training volunteers to coordinating schedules with schools and facilitators. We are so excited to see it all come together in the classrooms! Thank you to our Youth Leadership sponsors for helping make this program possible: Presenting Sponsors: Bicknell Legacy Foundation, Mercy , Pitsco Education Celebration Sponsor: Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, USD 250, Watco Participating Sponsors: GNBank, Kannarr Eye Care, Kendall Packaging, Midwest Minerals T-Shirt Sponsors: Compass Academy Network, Evergy, nVent Electric, Pittsburg State University And a special thank you to Evergy for donating a portion of the supplies that went into the supply bags this year!

🎆 Last weekend was incredible! This past Saturday, our Chamber members at Camptown Events hosted the Million Dollar Fireworks Festival, bringing thousands together for an unforgettable celebration honoring America’s 250th Anniversary! From live music and family activities to an incredible military flyover and a spectacular fireworks display, the evening showcased the pride, patriotism, and community spirit that make our area so special. We’re incredibly proud to have @camptownevents Events and Jakes Fireworks as Chamber members, and we’re grateful for the time, effort, and investment they continue to make in our community. We’re also thankful for the many Chamber members who sponsored, supported, and helped make this event possible. Seeing local businesses come together to create experiences like this is exactly what makes our community so strong. A special thank you to the Camptown team, Jake’s Fireworks, the Marietta family, event staff, volunteers, sponsors, emergency personnel, entertainers, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to bring this celebration to life. Your hard work created an unforgettable night for our community. ❤️🤍💙🎇 @explorecrawfordcounty
