& the INDY 500 will wrap up my time here in Indianapolis🥹🏁🎥

As many of you may know, on March 31st my former team and I at WRTV in Indy were laid off in the blink of an eye as new ownership took over. Our news station, which was Indiana’s very first television station, basically vanished overnight.

I was waking up every morning and going to bed every night missing my old coworkers and wondering how something like this could happen to a newsroom.

I am grateful to be a small part of WRTV’s legacy. 1949-2026.

I want to continue to pursue my career as a journalist, which means I am leaving Indy. I thought I would be here for a long time, but life happens and some things are just beyond your control.

Thank you Indy for the friendly people and the fun memories I’ve made over the past few months for everything.

Thank you to everyone across the industry and beyond for showing support during a time where hope felt lost.

In better news… I’ll be announcing an awesome career update very soon!

For now, see you later Circle City 🏙️🤍🏀

Get ready for another goodbye post… one that took way to long to write lol.

After nine incredible months at WRTV, I’m officially moving on! Sadly, a couple months ago the station was sold to new ownership and essentially our entire team was let go.

This post comes much sooner than I expected, but it also comes with a reminder that everything happens for a reason - even when you can’t quite understand why.

Although it was short, I can truly say I have learned and grown so much during my time in Indy. I’m grateful for all the amazing stories I’ve had the opportunity to share and for the incredible team and mentors I met at WRTV. This is truly a community like no other and I’m proud to have been a honorary Hoosier for at least a little bit.

To my WRTV family: thank you for making me feel at home from my very first day in the newsroom. You all are some of the most talented and passionate journalists I have ever met, and I’m so grateful to have learned so much from all of you. While great coworkers, you’re even better people, and I’m so thankful to have made some lifelong friends in the process.

While sad, I’ve learned that when one door closes, another one opens, and I’m thankful to start that journey soon. So stay tuned for the next adventure 🫶📺

I am so Blessed and Proud to share this moment!🩷
This is my interview with WRTV out of Indianapolis, where I had the opportunity to share my story and why Advocacy through American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network - ACS CAN/ ACS CAN Indiana, and my Platform, Crown Beyond Cancer, means so much to me.
This journey comes from lived Experience, Love, and a Promise I made to keep showing up, especially on the hard days.

The interview aired tonight at 5 p.m. EST, and I’m SO GRATEFUL to EVERYONE who continues to Support this Journey and Stand with me in the Fight for Change. 🩷🎗️

THIS........
"I always knew I was going to become this version of myself…"

This quote literally stopped me in my tracks because this is EXACTLY how this season feels!
For years, I carried a vision of who I Hoped I’d become. A Woman who turned Pain into Purpose. A voice willing to Speak Up, not just for herself, but for others navigating Cancer, Survivorship, and the long road that follows. Actually living that vision now feels Surreal, Humbling, and Incredibly Powerful.🩷
Today I had the opportunity to share my story again. This time in an interview with WRTV/ABC out of Indianapolis, airing tonight at 5 p.m. EST. Every Interview, Every Conversation, Every
Moment like this reinforces why THIS WORK MATTERS!
American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network - ACS CAN and ESPECIALLY my ACS CAN Indiana Team mean everything to me because it takes our Real life stories and turns them into Action. It gives Advocates a seat at the table and reminds us that our voices matter when shaping policies that protect Patients, Survivors, and Families.
Seeing my Platform, Crown Beyond Cancer, become part of this larger mission is a full-circle moment I don’t take lightly. What started as deeply personal has grown into p
Purpose, and into Advocacy that reaches far
Beyond me. 🩷
This isn’t random, this is my Calling.
And I’m just getting started. 👑🩷

We had an exciting day with our young entrepreneurs today. They learned what it takes to be their own bosses. We were interviewed by WRTV 6 and the kids will all be featured tonight on @wrtvnews with @meredithhacklertv ! If you missed out on this opportunity we will be hosting again next spring. Stay tuned to our social media posts and website. Www.r102wellness.com. We are so proud of young author, lawn care, bakery and artist/painter. You all are great and special shout out to their parents and our sponsor Spex Savvy who made sure the young bosses had breakfast and lunch to get them going. Kudos!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
