Before dismissing a wall as "tourist trash," I wish people would take a closer look. Many of these pieces were made by artists whose work is exhibited in galleries worldwide, what some call visual garbage is actually part of the city's contemporary art history. 📮 It's a shame this artistic side of Tokyo is disappearing, not because of a lack of talent, but because of a lack of curiosity to understand what was actually there. This post box in SHIBUYA was part of the TOKYO GRAFFITI WALKING TOUR 🗼🚶🏻‍♀️🎨 where we talked about some of these iconic artists, foreigners and locals.
