End of an Era (so bittersweet)

...signing off on my last doc. 📝

From SOCAN Licensing to SOCAN Membership to Entandem, the SOCAN & Resound joint venture. These last 6 years have been more than a job, it was personal and professional growth.

In 2015 I left the label world, and entered into a space that I didn't know much about... copyright, music licensing and royalties. And here I am now giving lectures and seminars on various music industry topics.

Thank you for the many projects I was challenged on and successful in 🏆, Thank you to the management and executives that pushed me to new heights and experiences 🧗🏽‍♀️, and Thank you for good times that made friends into family🫂.

All the licensing initiatives, all the preparation and testing in the creation of Entandem, all the award shows, all the workshops & conferences, all the SOCAN performances, and all the cutting edge, music industry leading projects that I was a part of helped thousands of licensees, and hundreds of thousands of members. I am humbled to have had y'all trust me, and thankful for the opportunity to contribute.

As we celebrate 'us' this month, and as often the only 👸🏾 in the room, I can say that I have seen Entandem and SOCAN step up to the plate in the conversation about inclusiveness, diversity, and equity. At this time I felt heard, seen and further valued. I was able to bring attention to pain points for BIPOCs at SOCAN and Entandem. I can only hope that conversations will materialize into real change that continues to make @socanmusic & @entandemlicense more diverse and inclusive then when I walked in.

Thank you all for seeing my potential, and continuing to challenge me. You have prepared me for the next adventure, which I am very excited to embark upon. What a great stepping stone to what is next!

signing off on paper 📝...but always part of the fam!
