20th @metallica show in Pittsburgh was magic 🖤 Sometimes people ask how we can go see the same band so many times. It’s not only about the music at some point - it’s the travel. The towns, cities, states, countries , the people you meet at shows and along the way - the parking lots, the mud pits…

The hotel lobbies, the long flights and car rides, the late night hunts for mediocre food that turn into adventures down alleyways and across bridges, the good and the real weird conversations with people you meet in every town who don’t always know why there are so many people in black shirts taking over for a night or two…but usually happy to share with you their favorite local places. The untapped joy at experiencing your happy place with many other people in so many other places around the world. That shared connection, these relationships, this community is so special. the music we love is icing on the cake. the cherry on the pie. or the cholula on your Annies Mac n cheese (if you’re me)

anyways…I feel real lucky and grateful to have found all this in my little lifetime on this planet. Sorry for the long love letter but post metallica show weekends are always tough to recover from. See y’all soon #metallicafamily #metfam #mff #metallicaforever #pittsburgh #LOVE

7 years ago tonight... I was one of the lucky ones. I got in from “The Miracle Line.” I got into Night 3 of the 30th Anniversary Shows that Metallica put on at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA. This track was one of my favorite songs from 2 shows I got to attend. From the 1996 album “Load”... The Outlaw Torn.
