Here’s a preview of our new exhibition, ‘From Inside the House’ with Brooks Cashbaugh @brookscashbaugh opening tonight at Studio Break Gallery in West Chicago from 5-8PM!

Brooks recent series examines: “What does it mean to stay human in a cruel world? Through diaristic paintings of domestic vignettes, I explore how it shared sense of grief and fear, permeate mundane moments of life.”

This exhibition was developed in part through our 2024 Studio Break Pro Competition, which was juried by Marc Mitchell @methan18, Curator & Director of Exhibitions at the University of Arkansas.

Elizabeth Atterbury and Meghan Brady are included in the group exhibition ‘DownEast,’ opening this Friday, August 28 at Pond Gallery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

“Pond Gallery, in collaboration with the School of Art (SoA) at the University of Arkansas, is pleased to announce Down East, a group exhibition featuring nine artists living and working in and around coastal Maine. Guest curated by SoA faculty member Marc Mitchell, the exhibition introduces their work to Arkansas for the first time.

Down East brings together artists who share a deep reverence for both the history and landscape of coastal Maine, exploring its enduring influence on those who call it home. Through painting and sculpture, their work reflects a profound knowledge of, love for, and stewardship of place. Though geographically distant, Mitchell draws meaningful connections between the artistic traditions and sensibilities of rural Maine and the Ozarks, inviting us to consider how seemingly disparate communities can find common ground through landscape, tradition, and home.”

It’s been great seeing this collection of works come together, and we’re excited to share it with you in print. Head to our website (link in bio) to learn more.

"...The work in this exhibition carries a sense of hope as well as the heartbreak of reality. Regardless of the artist, themes of language, portraiture, and landscape present throughout the show. Flowers and nature become symbols for mourning and solitude, yet also for growth and celebration. Patterns and architecture are used as an apparatus for memorializing people and places; and language is embedded within all the work, whether legible or covert..."

Emerging and mid-career artists are invited to submit work for consideration in our 2026 Spring Exhibition Publication. Selected artists will be featured in a full-color printed catalog, with additional visibility on our website and social media platforms.

We welcome submissions from artists working in all media, including (but not limited to) painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and mixed media.

Artists selected for the exhibition will be included in our quarterly artist catalog, which documents the exhibition and is shared across I Like Your Work Podcast’s platforms. The catalog is also distributed to our network of galleries, offering extended and meaningful visibility for participating artists.
