"Make the 'L' with your hands and go with the one that matches the alphabet"
😂
"Trail MOM!!! We're lost!! Do we turn here??"
"Does it say 'To Treehouse'?"
"No..."
"Then keep going boys!"

An absolute BLAST at Mt. Airy Forest this morning with some of the #roeblingroamers !!! Had to be a bit creative because of hunting season trail closures, but I'd say it was a success. Most of the 5k was on trails, just a wee bit was on road. And to be honest, by the time we got to the road I was trail toast anyway. Still pretty tired from the November efforts.
.
It was also @rayhaimm & @justaminorthreat81 Birthdays today, so after the run we spoiled them with treats.
.
And I am going to get a wee bit emotional writing this, but THANK YOU @cslafkas for the surprise Christmas Ornament!!! This year has been a wild ride and I have been pushed in many ways, but LEADING the Roamers was honestly a scary idea to me. Trail running is my first run love. I've done it ever since I was a kid. The woods are my sanctuary. I'm not fast, but I love it. But leading a group?? Not me... I've never thought of myself as a leader. So I trusted in the encouragement from @aydeedubya and the repeated appearances of RR crew each Thursday to tackle trails. And it's been pure JOY to my heart!!! I have completely enjoyed watching you all take to trail running and love it!! Thank you all for trusting in an old, slow, wheezy, crazy-lady who usually runs alone in the woods!! 😘 Y'all are AWESOME!!! 😁

Fantastic Foggy Flight thru the Forest
.
Trail Thursday with the Roebling Roamers!!! 💙
.
Withrow Nature Preserve was socked in and spooky for my early loop in the dark with @emilywitt17 . It was exhilarating!! We laughed and ran with the "spider stick" to clear the way for the 7am crew.
.
Lots of new-to-trailrunning faces this morning:
@kimbyjg
@shellbell2000
@sarah_yanzsa
@m_silverwood
.
And we had THE @mattely630 with us for the first time too!!! He's a long-time trailrunner and very familiar with the trails at WNP. So fun watching him lead the way and fly thru the meadow!!!
.
I just love watching everyone enjoying miles in nature. It makes my heart happy. Well RUN everyone!!!

Trail Thursday
#roeblingroamers
.
Small but mighty crew CRUSHED loops at Withrow Nature Preserve early this morning. @emilywitt17 took the lead and cruised thru with the crew in tow. Great having @bpiercegeary and @mgblacksmith with us for the first time!!! Always a good day when @davidrunscincy makes it down south to join in the fun!!!
.
Emily and I ran one loop early and it was pitch black with a bright moon in the sky. It was spooky fun!!!

“𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒔 - 𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒔 - 𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒔”
The above phrases are known as the "Vitruvian triad," after the Roman architect Marcus Vitruvius. These three words in Latin translate as "solid-useful-beautiful." They also serve as guide posts for the creative work I do.
I caught the "metal bug" in 2007 in a metal sculpture class at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Since then my obessesion with transforming iron into lively, useful artwork has only deepened. In 2013 I started taking on more commission work and wandering down the path of working fulltime as an Artist-Blacksmith. —Mark Gilsdorf

Recently artist @matthewburrowsstudio started up an artist support pledge to help artists sell work during the Covid crisis. Pretty much artists create works they are willing to sell for no more than $200 plus shipping. Once an artist reaches $1000 they pledge to buy a piece of work from another artist participating in the pledge. So I am sharing a framed 8x8 inch oil painting “city composition” that is available for $200 plus shipping. Please DM me if you are interested.
