REACH Founder & Visionary, @mgerall , was honored to speak at the MSC Fall Leadership Conference about selfless service, leadership, and the power of meaningful relationships. Max shared the story of Mama Mel, a dining employee at Sbisa Dining Hall who noticed a struggling student and took the time to make him feel seen, valued, and like he mattered. Her simple act of kindness became the inspiration behind REACH. At the heart of REACH is the belief that meaningful relationships can build stronger communities. It starts with taking the time to connect with the people we see every day and making sure they know they matter. A special shoutout to @madison.keenann , Vice Chair, and @liv.d_d_ , Delegate, for helping organize and put together such a great event!

AMC Sunday Service💪 REACH is excited to highlight a new initiative from our partners at @aggiemensclub , a mens organization at Texas A&M! Through Sunday Service, AMC members are giving back by helping with home maintenance projects for families right here in our community. This past Sunday, the gentlemen of AMC spent the morning helping the Moorehead family by cleaning up their front yard. While mowing, pulling weeds, and completing projects may seem like small acts, they can make a big difference in helping a family feel cared for and proud of their home.🏠 We’re grateful for the time, energy, and heart that AMC and our community members continue to pour into Bryan-College Station. This is what community looks like! 💚

This past Friday, our REACH Fellows had the opportunity to attend First Friday in Downtown Bryan and share the heart of REACH with the community! Our Fellows shared stories, connected with community members, talked about our mission to serve and empower others, and enjoyed some fun games along the way. The Fellows also highlighted the incredible work of our Essential Aggies at Texas A&M University—families who play an essential role in serving and supporting the Aggie community every day. Through REACH, we are proud to give back to these Essential Aggies as a token of our appreciation for all that they do.💚

This year's cohort is made up of exceptional Texas A&M students representing majors in business, communications, public health, and more. They have a genuine passion for serving others and a commitment to strengthening our community alongside the REACH team. REACH's fellowship is intentionally designed to help each student grow in the areas they are most passionate about, whether that's family or student engagement, our Entrepreneurship Program, operations, or recruitment. By matching their strengths with meaningful opportunities, our fellows will gain valuable professional experience while making a difference in the lives of those we serve. At REACH, we believe that empowering individuals and families begins with investing in people who are passionate about creating positive change. We are excited to watch this incredible group of fellows grow as leaders, develop personally and professionally, and help advance our work of empowering individuals and families to achieve their aspirations while strengthening the communities we call home. ❤️

Every meal can create an opportunity for connection. 🍽️ That’s the heart of REACH’s Breakroom Lunch Initiative; bringing @tamu students and Essential Aggies together over a shared meal to get to know one another, build relationships, and simply spend time in community. These lunches are about more than what’s on the table. Through regular conversations and time together, Fellows listen, learn, build trust, and better understand the goals and needs of the working families who help keep our campus running. And as relationships grow, REACH can help connect families with resources and opportunities that support the goals that matter to them. This year, our Fellows will continue building on these relationships under the leadership of @ty_prince44 , creating more opportunities for connection - one lunch, one conversation, and one relationship at a time. We can’t wait to share more of the people, stories, and moments that make these lunches so special throughout the year. 💚

MSC Fall Leadership Conference 2026! 👍🏻 Getting to serve as a Focus Group Leader and spend 3 days with 100 of Texas A&M’s top student leaders is a true pleasure and honor.💕 This year’s conference was the best yet! Lots of great energy and enthusiasm, incredible speakers and panels, fantastic array of student organizations represented, and an awesome focus group. 😎❤️ I love getting to spend time and get to know our incredible students as well and the administrators, former students, and the speakers who take the time to join us. It alway brings me great joy as these students connect and network, forming new bonds and friendships as they begin the new year. There is no better way to kick off the fall semester and new academic year than at MSC Fall Leadership Conference. These students energize and inspire me - I learn and gain so much from them. Congratulations to the Floyd Family on purchasing their new home! 🏠🙌 The Floyd Family has generously given their time to REACH over the years, serving on our Community Leaders Board and making a lasting impact on our organization. Mr. Floyd is an Essential Aggie, who has played an important role in the evolution of REACH. This includes the Break Room Lunch Initiative, which is a signature program for REACH. Years ago, while Mr. Floyd was working as a custodian at Texas A&M, students named McKenzie Porter and Logan Miertschin noticed that he wasn't acting like himself during one of the Break Room lunches. Concerned for his well-being, they made sure he received the medical care he needed, and as it turned out, he was suffering from late-stage heart failure. In addition, McKenzie and Logan rallied fellow students to help care for his home and family throughout his treatment. Throughout his journey, McKenzie, Logan, and the entire REACH family stood faithfully by his side. Fast forward a few years, the Floyd family later participated in REACH’s homeownership program, and today, they are proud homeowners! Their story is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a campus community comes together with compassion, generosity, and unwavering support. We couldn't be prouder of the Floyd Family and all they have overcome. Congratulations on this incredible milestone, we are honored to celebrate with you! ❤️

We are so excited to announce Max Gerall ‘18 as one of our 74th MSC FLC speakers!! Don’t miss out on his talk about the importance of Selfless Service by registering NOW using the link in bio! About the speaker: Max Gerall was born in Houston, Texas, and is a member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2018.  Max is a dedicated social entrepreneur passionate about inspiring others to serve those who serve us. He is committed to transforming lives and lifting individuals and families in Brazos Valley out of multigenerational poverty. He meets this commitment by infusing REACH’s core values of Respect, Education, Achievement, Community, and Hope into all of REACH’s programs. The REACH Project in the Texas A&M community is the first application of his vision, but it will not be the last. In 2017, as an A&M undergrad, Max founded The REACH Project, a nonprofit organization. An An unexpected friendship with a cafeteria worker led to his realization that the 3,000 contract service workers on campus were virtually unknown and unseen, but essential members of the community. Since graduating in 2018, he has dedicated everything to fulfilling his “life’s purpose”, which is to engage the collective intellectual wealth, talent, and goodwill of the university to enhance the quality of life of the greater community.
