The Collection Gala’s inaugural event at the Dallas Museum of Art brought together more than 420 guests for a sold-out evening of art, philanthropy, and design. Presented by Sewell, the black-tie celebration honored past Art Ball chairs, the @dallasmuseumart Board of Trustees, and the philanthropic contributors of TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art.   The night featured a benefit dinner, art auction, and remarks by featured artist Emmi Whitehorse, whose work Forest Floor highlighted the live auction presented by Sotheby’s Phyllis Kao. Designed by Todd Fiscus of Todd Events, the evening’s bold red, black, and white palette drew inspiration from Mark di Suvero’s “Ave” sculpture.   Proceeds supported the DMA’s mission to expand access to the arts through exhibitions, education, and the stewardship of its 25,000+ collection.  Photography courtesy of @snapthepicture2 (Bruno Snap the Picture) and Steve Lucero, @BFA

@galeriaomr is thrilled to take part in the inaugural edition of The Collection Gala 2025 auction benefiting the @dallasmuseumart, with a stunning work by @claudiacomte: The Tree of the Storm (roots paintings), 2025 Sequoia dust on raw canvas 244 × 163 × 4.5 cm Courtesy of OMR Made with sequoia dust collected from Comte’s sculptural process, these paintings turn matter into image — the dust imprinting its own history on the surface. The branching forms evoke subterranean networks and the electrical paths of lightning, pointing to organic and invisible systems of connection. After five wonderful years living in Dallas, it’s a pleasure to continue to support such a vibrant arts community. Grateful to the DMA for including us in this special evening. For bidding inquiries, contact Megan Gratch at megan@megangratchartadvisory.com #TheCollectionGala #DallasMuseumofArt #ClaudiaComte #OMR
