Congratulations to the 24 teams who earned bids today to the National Championship Tournament in Washington DC!

(21 schools bid but we can only tag 20 so tagging our defending national champions @uchicagomocktrial here)

They’re back back back again! Congratulations to the 18 teams who earned open bids to the Opening Round Championship Series!

What is an open bid? This year there were 32 regionals that each produced 6 bids to ORCS (192 total). Schools can only send two teams to ORCS so if any program got more than two bids, those extra bids became open. We then looked to the teams who barely missed out on that top 6 finish and offered them spots. All of these teams earned between 6.5-5 wins to earn these open bids.

Thank you to all of the teams who traveled all the way to Cleveland to compete in the 18th Annual Spartan Throwdown! We hope y’all had an amazing time and that it was a highlight of your fall seasons!!

Rookie Rumble 2025 is done!

Thank you to all the rookies who rumbled. Thank you to all of our (very many) judges. Rookie Rumble was a 64 team tournament with 4-5 judges per round! And Congratulations to team 42 from @emorymocktrial @ugamocktrial and @gtmocktrial on winning the tournament!

A few weeks ago, our very own All-American @j.hubbard010 traveled to Philadelphia, PA to compete in the 2025 Trial by Combat competition 🗡️- a 1-on-1 collegiate mock trial national championship. This competition is co-hosted by both @drexelklinelaw and @uclalawschool to identify the best individual college competitors in the country.

For the second year in a row, Jon was invited to be one of 16 competitors to compete at TBC. And we are proud to say that he placed 🏆FIFTH IN THE COUNTRY 🎉🙌🏆!!!

By Jon’s side to earn that placement was his second-chair @cdavid.jones and coach @kenblaaast all weekend. SHOUTOUT DAVID AND KENDALL 🙂‍↕️‼️

Out of hundreds of teams and thousands of competitors internationally, Jon has consistently been recognized as one of the best. Serving as our President in his final year, his impact on our team is unquestionable. Thank you Jon for what you have done for this program and everyone wish him luck next year at @umichlaw !! (go bucks btw tho) 🌰
