What if some of our best ideas about addressing campus violence came from a moment when almost nothing was working like it was supposed to?

Our new book Unmasking Violence brings together scholars, frontline workers, and activists who adapted, resisted, documented, created, and reimagined amid the upheavals of COVID-19.

Join us for the virtual launch! We’ll explore what becomes possible when knowledge from the crisis of the pandemic is brought to bear on one of the most persistent challenges facing higher education. You can register at https://zoom.us/meeting/register/5oswl5FiR2aHEUofFn6urw#/registration (link also in JJ’s bio).

I’m so grateful I have the ability and abundance to give back in this way. I don’t have a ton of time or money to share, but if someone can feel even a little lighter with a spritz of perfume, clean hair or a glossy lip, that means a lot to me.

The world we are living in now is a scary place, especially for vulnerable women. Thankful for places like @trccmwar who care for them, but resources are scarce.

🎬✨ Welcome Micah Kalisch to Talent Inc Canada ✨🎬

We are excited to welcome Micah Kalisch to Talent Inc this summer as she joins our team to lead On-Camera Acting classes from 2:00PM to 3:30PM.

Micah began her career in theatre as a child before quickly moving into commercial work, where she stayed consistently booked before landing roles in television and film and working full time as an actor. After taking time to run a non-profit, she has returned to the industry with a wealth of experience and insight.

As a coach, Micah is known for recognizing something unique and special in every performer. Her students have gone on to book lead and series regular roles on major platforms such as Netflix and Crave.

This is an incredible opportunity to train with someone who understands both the craft and the business of acting.

Ready to get started?
Text AUDITION to 647-748-7600 today.

Today was a bittersweet day as we held our final herbal clinic of the academic year with Cathy from @giwaabamin . For the past several months Cathy has been meeting with students 1 on 1 to offer counselling, guidance, and traditional herbal medicine. Giwaabamin has been supporting students and survivors processing trauma, grief, substance use, chronic pain, insomnia, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, and more.
Those of us who have been attending the clinic over the past few months have had the privilege of experiencing the medicine, knowledge, and care that Cathy and the clinic provides.
We are endlessly grateful for this program, the relationships built and all that it has offered students and survivors in our community and of course endlessly grateful for Cathy and @giwaabamin

If you are able to support Cathy and the clinic please take the time to do so by following and sharing their work and donating if possible.

it's been just over two weeks since the release of This Wasn't on the Syllabus and i'm so filled with gratitude--for the contributors who trusted us with their stories, rising action for taking on the project, the bookstores stocking it, everyone who turned up to and helped put on our launch events, everyone creating space for these stories in their shelves, homes, hands, and hearts, and for addy for being such an amazing partner to have through it all 🤍
