When I worked in restaurants, the only time we hung out was after the shift, over drinks.

But why was that the only time we saw each other?

We give strangers a great experience every day. Why not do that for each other?

That’s why I started Restaurant Community NYC.

A place to talk, support each other, and learn.
Industry, industry-adjacent, or just curious about this world, come join us.

We take care of everyone else.

Let’s take care of each other.

Thank you for getting “ugly” with us at UGLY TALK: WHY THE STANDARD GTM PLAYBOOK WON’T GET YOU FAR ANYMORE. 🔥

The event brought founders and operators together in New York for a candid conversation about launches, traction, and what needs to happen before a product ever hits the market.

Featuring:
Prince Rumi | Partner, Excelsior Edge Ventures
@zach.moskow | Founding Team, Head of GTM & Product, Concentrate AI

Hosted by Anson Wu, Founder of Ugly Talk.

And a big thanks to our partners, Excelsior Edge Ventures, @industrioushq and GREY Journal for backing this event.

The standard playbook is crowded. The real question is: what actually gets people to care?

Started making YouTube videos at 13 back in 2011… and I haven’t stopped creating since. 🎥✨
Creating helped me find my path, and that’s the exact reason I host @ccexnyc events with friends. Creativity thrives when creative people come together. No gatekeeping, just pure collaboration and growth.

Thank you to the Global Creatives Hangout for the opportunity to speak! If you’re a creator looking for collaborators, you’re in the right place!
What year did you start your creator journey? Drop it in the comments below! 👇
