so much of my precious life has been lived since i last posted. here are many photos of it! from my favorite week of summer, when josh and charlie visited and picked me up every single day they were here (thank you!!!!! i’ve never felt so special in my life!!!) all the way through haunt season, when salem and james made sure mikey and i were well taken care of every single work night. in the present and the future, there is so much art and music and love surrounding me. i am inspired every day by the people who care about me to be the best version of myself possible, and to express myself as freely as i feel inclined to. i have an apartment now, a place to live for me and my brother and both of our cats. you may have heard this news already, but in case you didn’t, i was without stable housing for over a year- and i have finally achieved everything i hoped for. i’m incredibly lucky and grateful for the help i’ve received, from the people who let me sleep in their houses to the organizations that provided me resources. @mrjnwa helped me find and move into my apartment, access brand new beds donated by our local dayspring ministries, and helped me find my new job! i think we should be more open about community efforts and resources. the situation i was in was not something i could handle alone, and it was very very dangerous for me to try. i spent a lot of time over that year accessing mental health resources, including overnight stays. so many incredibly kind people took part in saving my life this year that i literally cannot possibly list them all. the connections that you can make by reaching out for help are absolutely priceless. please kill the shame, and help your community and ask your community for help. tl;dr i lived bitch! and i love my community and i love my life and i love you!!

happy trans day of visibility to me & every little freak i’ve ever been, my sweet baby brother & every little freak he’s ever been, as well as you🏳️‍⚧️ & every little freak you have ever been. i think it’s easy to cringe and feel embarrassed when i look back at all the ways i used to express myself back when it was my biggest struggle, so it’s possible that you feel that way too sometimes. i hope you can give yourself grace and love even over the mistakes you’ve made along your journey. it’s important to honor every part of yourself that carried you to where you are today. it’s also really good to trust that your future self will bring you where you’re meant to be tomorrow. anyway, transitioning has been the greatest, most painful, and most beautiful journey of my entire life. i came out so young and experienced so much and did everything all the wrong way! but it makes me so happy to look back on. i see the messy handprints in the hard work i put into the foundation of myself and i love working around them to reinforce it these days. this trans day of visibility, i am 6 months on testosterone! i feel more like myself every single day, and that feeling is so heightened by being surrounded by transgender people who i love more than anything. i love you my queer gendered siblings and i am proud to be your brother!
